what is the difference between AHA and BHA in Paula's choice?

Re: recommendation

@mumubarua

AHAs (glycolic acid, lactic acid, and more) are water soluble acids that work on the surface of the skin; they essentially break down the "glue" holding dead skin cells in place, sloughing them off to help brighten dull spots.

BHA (salicylic acid) is the only oil soluble acid; it can get below the surface and dig through the oil and gunk built up in your pores to clean them from the inside out. If you are battling blackheads and/or clogged pores, BHA is the one to go with.
