Makeup for sensitive eyes

I’ve worn makeup since middle school and have always enjoyed doing my eye makeup. Well starting a few months ago I’ve developed some kind of allergy where any product I put on or around my eyes causes them to burn so bad. So I’m looking for clean natural products that won’t cause this discomfort. If anyone has had this happen to them please let me know what products you use so I can start doing my makeup again 😭

Re: Makeup for sensitive eyes

@Robinsam95 All my life, I have had extremely sensitive skin. Before there was clean beauty at Sephora, I only used Jane Iredale (which is also clean beauty). I recommend Jane Iredale products. They are also recommended by the skin cancer foundation.

Hope this helps

**I am not affiliated with Jane Iredale, but HOPEFULLY sephora will carry Jane Iredale products someday**

Hi @Robinsam95!

I would find out what ingredient(s) is/are causing the skin around your eyes to burn.  That way, you'll be able to find the right products.

I have had a problem where the corners of my eyes would become extremely dry and it would look crusty when I applied foundation, concealer, eyeshadow primer, or eyeshadow on.  It would hurt a bit sometimes and I had to avoid using makeup there for a while.

I used Gold Bond eczema body lotion on the dry areas for a few months and it went back to normal.  The skin around your eyes are thin so it's important to moisturizer there, especially if you use a lot of eye makeup.  You could also try using Vaseline to moisturize.

I switched from using regular micellar water to an oil based eye makeup remover as well so I don't have to rub as much.
