Dupe for Nars Orgasm?

I just finished my last pan of NARS Orgasm but will never be purchasing again, as I found out that they’re no longer a cruelty free company. I am so disappointed and disgusted that selling their products in China (where animal testing is mandatory) is more important to them than animal welfare. I hope more people will boycott these brands until they change their ways. My husband and I rescued a beagle from a testing lab, they actually removed his vocal cords because the incessant barking (from the agony he was in and the constant stress he was under) was an inconvenience to them. Please think about this before you buy products that were tested on these poor, innocent creatures. Anyway, yeah. Looking for a good dupe. 😊

Hi @Dara813 !

I would try Charlotte Tilbury in Ecstasy.  Charlotte Tilbury Cheek To Chic Blush Ecstasy

Like @WinglessOne  mentioned I think the shade Love Glow might be a good substitute as well. I find it a little bit more pink, but it is my all time favorite blush. Looks gorgeous on the skin and I find the Charlotte Tilbury formula a lot better than Nars too.

Re: Dupe for Nars Orgasm?

@Dara813  Assuming you’re looking for a powder blush dupe (the Orgasm shade’s also used for a couple of NARS lip products and a liquid blush): next time you’re at a Sephora or another store that sells Charlotte Tilbury, swatch Charlotte Tilbury Cheek To Chic Blush Love Glow and see if it’s close enough to NARS Orgasm for you. Charlotte’s entire makeup line is cruelty free, and some of her products are vegan if that’s also important to you.

I can’t say from firsthand experience that Love Glow and Orgasm are a match: the Orgasm blush has never worked on my skin tone, so I don’t use it. I hope you’re able to find a dupe!

EDIT: Also take a look at IT COSMETICS - Bye Bye Pores Blush - Sweet Cheeks, which might be a tad warmer toned than Orgasm. It Cosmetics is also cruelty free, but their parent company is not.

RE: Re: Dupe for Nars Orgasm?

Thank you! And yes, I’m looking for powder. I already have a cream stick formula that is close in shade, but I want something a little closer in consistency. The Charlotte Tilbury looks really nice. I’m going to try it out when I use my Rouge gift card tomorrow!

Re: Dupe for Nars Orgasm?

@Dara813 That’s horrible that someone would do that to a dog. I hope cruelty-free/not selling in China becomes the norm in the future or that China changes it’s laws. In the meantime, maybe Milani Luminoso could work as a dupe.It has that pink-gold shift.

Re: Dupe for Nars Orgasm?

I hope so too, but considering how they treat dogs there... 😞

just wondering, does the clean seal here mean that they're cruelty free?

RE: Re: Dupe for Nars Orgasm?

Unfortunately it’s just a seal regarding the ingredients used as WinglessOne mentioned below. There is a universal leaping bunny seal, but I wish Sephora would add their own cruelty free seal too. Sometimes the information about certain brands is difficult to find and it’s not always updated and accurate. I’m sure people like me would be more than happy to volunteer to conduct the research and gather the data for them.

Re: Dupe for Nars Orgasm?

@treestar86  Nope. Sephora’s clean seal just means a product isn’t made with a list of ingredients Sephora has decided aren’t “clean.” It has nothing to do with cruelty free or vegan status. And there’s no industry or government standard of what “clean” means for cosmetics.

Re: Dupe for Nars Orgasm?

ahh, well that's disappointing. @WinglessOne  ;/
