highlighter before or after?

im new to makeup. the only thing i wear is eye liner however ive been opening my horizons! do i put highlighter on before or after foundation? thanks in advance!

Hey Mary! Congrats on this new transition, I love make up, butdefinitely highlighter after foundation so it gives you a bigger pop and you stand out! I love when those cheekbones are lit. I prefer to use Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Sun Dipped.

Hi @Marrrryyyyy,

I recommend applying highlighter after foundation, blush, and contour (if doing).  You can apply highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones and brow bones, cupid's bow, down the center and on the tip of your nose, and around your temples.  Some of my favorite highlighters are BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed Highlighter - Opal, DIOR - Diorskin Nude Luminizer Shimmering Glow Powder - 05 Rose Glow, and  stila Heaven's Hue Highlighter Kitten .
