Looking for the right brow color for black eyebrows..

I am half Persian with black sparse eyebrows I can never find the correct color for my brows, the closest I have got is Anastasia dip brow ash brown --I would like a similar color in a gel or pencil however everything I buy is too red brown in dark browns or too black and harsh if I choose black it looks almost like a sharpie eyebrow... The struggle is real! Any tips for product?

I'm full Filipino so I too have black hair and eyebrows but I use the ABH dip brow in dark brown. I started off using a dark expresso brown eyeshadow when I got into makeup way back when. But at times I still tend to use a dark brown eyeshadow to blend in with the dip brow. 😊 So maybe try some dark brown eyeshadow you might already own and see what matches the best for you. And then you can try the dip brow or a brow pencil in the same shade.

My hair is also naturally black, and I've struggled fining the perfect balance of brow color. Currently I found that using the darkest brown Brow wiz from ABH works, and I top that with a black powder to darken them up. I use the Billion Dollar Brows powder in Ebony, but a black eyeshadow can work too. Spoolies are your best friend for blending the two colors together.

I'm east asian and it's such a challenge to find cool toned browns. I've been gravitating towards grays and taupes, it might look too light when swatched on your hand, but I've found it's a great match for black/cool brown brows. Sephora actually have a great eyebrow pencil that's the perfect color for my brows, 06 Soft Charcoal, very cool toned.

I've used the ABH brow powder duo in graphite (it's not showing up on Sephora for some reason) for when I want a really bold look, but the color intensity can be softened quick a bit by running a spoolie through my brows several times.

Hello Natalash, 

For brows, I personally wouldn't go exactly the same shade as my brows (I have black eyebrows too) because I'm scared my brows would look like I used a sharpie lol. I use Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in the shade Dark Brown and I find it really nice. Not too dark and not red at all. I recommend that! But I'm sure others have more recommendations (:

Have you tried the shade ebony? That's the one I use. I know with the dipbrow formula, a little goes a very very long way. I don't even dip my brush into the product, I just tap it and use that to blend in my sparse areas. If you use too much, you will end up with sharpie brows.
