Eyebrows? How?

Hello, again, beautiful people! How do I keep this simple? I am learning makeup. As stated in another post, I can do a basic face and not scare the village children; however, I am not grasping how to do everything I'd like to. So, please share, how do you create a simple, natural looking brow. I mean, I was born with my own but they're pretty light. They're even lighter after makeup application. What tips do you have? Thanks in advance, Lovelies!

RE: Eyebrows? How?

You are gorgeous and have beautiful brows! 🙂When I started doing mine, I used to use eyeshadow and brush it on... that was a big mistake and always ended up making by brows look dry, dark, and unnatural. I'd highly recommend using a tinted brow gel. This smooths any stray hairs while making your look natural and defining the color a bit more. I love Anastasia's tinted gel {Anastasia carries really great brow products in general}, but I'm also a big fan of Benefit's Gimme Brow. However, I've heard rumors this may have been disconnected? But my all time favorite brow product is the Boy Brow from Glossier~ they are an incredible brand and all their products leave your makeup looking natural and gorgeous. I would try these. Eventually, you'll find something that works best for you! Good luck!

Thank you so much for the compliments! I am going to ask the ladies at our local Sephora to show me how each works so I can figure out which one will work for me. Thank you so much.

Thank you @fieldsofclover! I bought it from Express. They had a really nice sale.

RE: Eyebrows? How?

I like to use a pencil. I recently started using the benefit goof proof brow pencil. It's amazing looks natural to me!

@HazleEyedQueen You havev a lovely natural brow shape 👑 You just need to define them a bit. Your choices are: Brow powder, brow gel, brow pomade or a brow pencil. Based on experience, i'm mega into my brows, i'd auto eliminate powder and gel. That leaves us with a pencil, such as Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz or a pomade such as Anastasia Beverley Hills Dip Brow. Now think of it like a pencil or a paint brush, which are you most comfortable holding? I'm more comfortable with a pencil, so I opt for Brow Wiz (I'm still able to create a dramatic brow with a pencil) to get less of a dramatic brow, use the spooly on the opposite side of the pencil to brush out the brow after.

I'll, definitely, look into the ABH pencil, then. I'm no good at the dip brow after a month. lol.

For eyebrows I go with the cheap but outstanding product. From what I've seen, ELF Cosmetics isn't associated with Sephora but the eyebrow duo pencil is perfect for me and easy to apply as well. You can find it at almost any local store; Walmart, target, etc. I hope this helps!

I like ABH Brow Wiz because it's self-contained with the spoolie right there, but I think pencils in general are easier than gel pots for getting a natural look. I've avoided powders because I always do my brows last so I'm too impatient for a really involved routine, so I'll defer to other people's expertise there.

Actually, I looked in my drawer and I have the ABH Brow Definer now, which is pretty much the same as Brow Wiz (mechanical pencil w/ spoolie) except it's wedge-shaped. I like it a little better but it's the same idea.

RE: Eyebrows? How?

I struggled with brows the most, but I have learn lot with my experiences. First I used this Bobbi Brown Eye shadow it’s in “Taupe”. I had a full face glam, my brows was missing. I never really do brows, because I wanted simple brows. I tried Taupe on my brows because it’s my everyday eye shadow and I wanted to tested it on my brows, it was a idea I never regretted. After that, I experienced more with Brow products in drug store like elf Wax/Powder kit which I repurchased because it’s basically a dupe to ABH. From my past experience If you want a simple brow - I would stick with powder.

I'll look into a powder instead of the gel. I didn't think it would be THAT difficult. But I've been wrong before.

RE: Eyebrows? How?

I personally struggle with my brown technique the most. I like to use pencils and powders. I find they are much easier to control and much more forgiving too. 😘

I started with ABH dip brow and it's tough. They're too dark and just, all around, too much. You said pencil and powder. What powder?
