Collagen loss when waxing

Hello,

I'm not sure if it's true but I heard on the television years back that people experience collagen loss when waxing leading to dropping skin later on.  Is that still valid or have products changed to fix that problem?

Re: Collagen loss when waxing

Normal brow waxing done properly is unlikely to suddenly cause major sagging or dramatic collagen breakdown. The bigger issue is repeated aggressive pulling/irritation/burns from overheated wax/over-waxing thin delicate skin for YEARS. A lot of people actually tolerate occasional waxing perfectly fine long term. (If someone already has very sensitive or thin skin though, threading or tweezing can sometimes be less irritating.)
