Has anyone picked up one of The Blonds lipsticks that they released? My local store didn't have the collection when I went there today. I'm curious to know just how muted the pink is in the  DavidBlond color. I usually can't go off of their models unfortunately. and wonder if this is going to be like a MLBB lippie, or one that just makes me look washed out.

Hi @niki172 I did see both and I think @NayNayBae described it very well. It was soft and muted but still had some pink to it and was very pretty I thought. I got the red which is also really pretty and a bit pinker than other LE lips from them so I like it. 

This is the red. Sorry I didn’t do the pink! If I’m in store tomorrow I’ll do it for u! 💋

Is a bit tricky to show color correctly as I think it’s a bit more pink than this shows. Even though may not look it.

Thanks so much for the swatch @Sunnysmom! That does look like a very lovely color. If you have a chance to swatch it that would be great as we didn't have a MAC store in our mall when the MAC X Padma collection came out so I don't have that one either, but I can look around for swatches/videos of that.

 Did you get a chance to try the lipstick "Sunset Rose" from the Padma collection earlier this year? If so it is possibly a dupe for that lipstick just a Lustre formula. The padma lipstick was a creamsheen. I tried them on side by side on my lips and really could not tell a difference. I must say the swatches online looked deeper than what it appears on the lips. I would say it's a glossy cool toned light pink. Flattering and Pretty

Finally got some of the Hyper Real foundations and got to play and compare them to the original ones!!! These were by far some of my favorite products from MAC so when I found out they were coming back I couldn’t contain my excitement. These are the OG highlighters IMO and MAC artists have been begging the company for years for these to make a come back. Finally they’re here!

Violet:

The violet color is a beautiful subtle iridescent pink/violet with a touch of blue at extreme angles. It’s not blue; it just has a hint of it. The color is a bit hard for me to explain because of its iridescence but it’s stunning. It is almost the same color as the original but I find the violet/blue is a tab more pronounced in the new one. It gives the skin a beautiful ethereal glow.

Gold FX:

The gold although similar to the original is not exactly the same in my opinion. It seems the original had a bit more white in it. I can’t remember if it was always like this or if it’s because mine is old, but I’m thinking it’s the former. The original looks more like a true whitish gold vs the new one. I can still see some of the white gold aspects in the new one but it’s not as obvious. It’s like it’s missing a touch of white in there. I mean I’m probably grabbing at straws here but these were some of my favorite products... like of all time, so I am very picky about how the color looks in the new one. Plus I applied some over black cardboard to really see if the color was the same and to pick up those differences. They are almost identical on the skin but I can tell there’s a little something missing. Don’t get me wrong here it is still very beautiful but slightly different. The shimmer particles in this one become more apparent when you really build up the color. It’s something I’ve seen in other highlighters of similar color and while some of the pigment particles appear larger by no means would I call this glitter. The shimmer is just really intense if you build it up. If you only have a slight wash of it it’s more of a subtle sheen.

I love these so much! I find them very versatile since you can also add them to your moisturizer or foundation to get a subtle luminous glow. It just makes the skin look more radiant. I’ve also dabbed some of it over a matte lipstick to give it more dimension and really loved the results. I like that it can be sheered out or built up. For cheekbone application I used my finger to apply it and after that I gently dabbed a beautyblender over and around to make a seamless finish. I also tried it with a MAC duo fibre brush for a light application.  I still love these products and kinda sad that there isn't more fuss over them.

I'm sorry I'm not sure @greeneyedgirl107. 😞  Do you have a MAC store/counter close to you? You can always ask them once the product is out. I'm assuming this is the promotional pic they'll use in store and online... Maybe a MAC artist via the chat on their website would know as well.

That's a great idea @veronika23!  I honestly didn't think about that, b/c I usually don't get curious about makeup used in promos b/c I always thought it would be impossible to figure out.  My Ulta is getting MAC in a week or so, so I am hopefully to be able to explore the brand more.  I've always had an appreciation for the brand but never loved shopping department store counters.

That's cool that your Ulta is getting it @greeneyedgirl107.  Sorry you never liked shopping the counters. 😞  That's how I got to know some MAC artists and a few are still working for the brand today. It's fun to have that connection with them.
