@k617  they do look similar... maybe it's to suit different skin tones... like one would look better on one type vs the other?

I swatched these shades in-store. The small amount of pearl in some of the shades adds dimension on the lips and is quite pretty. I walked away with Modern Temptress and when I wore it the other day it still looked great after ~7 hrs of wear.

@TraceyEB I got Beatrix and Velvet Rebellion and really like Beatrix. It’s a great deep red unless it’s too dark for u? I know u love reds too! 😁 Velvet R has more purple brown to it and tho pretty doesn’t apply quite as well. 😖

AH! I'm getting such wonder woman / gladiator vibes from the compact. I want it so badly!

I have a budget I give myself for beauty purchases but Aug-Dec is the toughest because so many things go on sale at random that I end up with very little wiggle room during the holidays. I really wish MAC would post a date so I know how to maneuver my budget around!

@veronika23 it’s soooo gorgeous!! Whhhhy MAC, why won’t you tell me how to buy😭 y’know though, idk how I feel about one of the brushes in the set being a spoolie....

@veronika23 Yeah, it feels like a cheap-ish cop out, especially at that price point. All of my eyebrow pencils have a spoolie attached. What exactly do I need a really expensive one for......lol. It’s still a lovely set though.

Thanks V! I don't see any immediate must haves... though Winifred and Beatrix look nice! Would love for T to have swatches and reviews...I like using her "Compare any 2" feature

@k617 I've noticed that T doesn't seem to get MAC swatches up in advance of a release most of the time like she used to -- she always has them eventually, but less often day of the release.

I think I remembering reading in one of her product-review comment threads, she posted she no longer receives much, if any, PR from MAC.  I don't rememeber if she mentioned a specific reason.

@k617@MiradanI like that feature and when she has dupes for sure.  I do find that too about the releases... MAC also seems to have cut the amount of time between when they are announcing a collection to when it actually launches...  I find we have less info now. 😞
