OMG I'm so jelly of you @Kim888! I have been on the hunt for this advent calendar at Target but still no luck. I was so excited when 1 store listed it as in stock and drove all the way there but to my dismay it was sold out and the person working explained that target.com hasn't updated the inventory.

Omg no that is so upsetting!!! They aren't showing up near me anywhere either ( i checked just to see). It's so upsetting because there are a ton of course marked up to like triple the price on ebay and i'm like Harry Potter and JK Rowling would NOT approve lol

I can't say I'm surprised by this.  Freeform is an ABC channel.  ABC is owned by Disney.  NBCUniversal and Warner Brothers worked together for the Harry Potter theme park.  Warner Brothers and HBO are both owned by Time Warner.  NBC is owned by Comcast.  What I am seeing is that HBO will have access as well as the NBC channels (like SyFy and USA Network).  Which might mean we're getting a HBO Potterverse tv show.

Lol i feel a bit sad about this - I own the movies so I can already watch them unedited and without commercials any time I want but I feel like there's just something special about the freeform harry potter weekends. Maybe its because most often I probably wouldn't like go and actively turn them all on but if I'm flipping through and its on freeform its nice to just throw a movie on mindlessly.

Yeah it's like taking away a little piece of tradition. Just like USA always airs A Christmas Story all day Christmas, I like to see that the HP marathon on Abc fam is still going even though I have the films on bluray and DVD. It's just a little bittersweet.

Yeah, I feel the same way, @Kim888. It kind of feels like fate whenever I stumble onto a Harry Potter movie marathon. Like you, I rarely think to watch a movie, so it's nice to come across one on the TV. Hopefully, HBO will air the same amount of Harry Potter marathons as Freeform did. Though, I have noticed that some of the Freeform marathons sometimes skip the first few Harry Potter movies. I hope HBO won't do that.

@Anonymous Yeah, I saw something about all of the HP movies coming to HBO in January. Freeform must be losing their minds right now!

I have to admit that the switch may actually be a good thing. From what I've read, the movies on HBO will be unedited & commercial-free, and they will be available to stream anywhere/anytime. Sounds pretty good to me!

My research suggests that SyFy and USA Network will even be playing the Director's cuts.  I don't know that I have those.  I have the DVDs, Blu-ray and iTunes versions.

Oh, I forgot to post this last month. Some of you may know that a Harry Potter art collection was released this past summer on the UK/EU Pottermore site. I've been drooling over it ever since then and to my dismay, US customers couldn't buy any of it. Now, here's the good news: the collection has finally been released to the US site! Hooray!

I just discovered that PBTeen has a Harry Potter collection. I'm pretty much in love with everything... especially the bedding, Hedwig jewelry cage, Mirror of Erised jewelry cabinet, and pillows! Seriously, the pillows are awesome. The Marauder's Map pillow cover even glows in the dark!
