How did you discover the wonderful land of Sephora?

A Sephora store opened up in my local mall when I was in 10th grade, I never had money to spend there until after I graduated. Once I was done school in June 2014, I starting working full time so I could finally afford their products! I started shopping there once in a while.. and then regularly in fall 2015! Now I’ve been VIB Rouge ever since 🙂

My ex-husband introduced me to Sephora years ago when we lived in ATL. He loved shopping there for his colognes, skin care products, hair products, even our shower head came from there. He could spend forever in the store... He even loved helping pick out my makeup and researching brands.. My closest store now is about 10 miles away, but with traffic here on the Emerald Gulf Coast the majority of the time and tourists, it’s virtually impossible to get over there. Plus the few times I’ve been in there, the employees weren’t helpful at all, just stood around talking to each other. I do all my shopping online now.

I was receiving Allure magazine, and saw this was where to order a certain item. This has been so long ago I can't remember when or what it was, but I'm like @fieldsofclover and the journey began. After going in a Sephora store in New York and New Jersey, I was hooked!!!! I don't regret it but my wallet does!!  I luckily don't live too close to a store or it would be tragic. Even though I've branched out to other suppliers, I'll always go to Sephora to shop or check on new brands.

Allure was the lifeline before there was YouTube or Instagram. Or blogs. Or anything more than AOL. 😎📑

Back in the day (late 90s/early 00s) it was reeeeeeally hard to find redhead/auburn-friendly drugstore makeup... so when a couple brands discontinued their auburn eyebrow tools around the same time, I set off looking for this mysterious "Anastasia" brand that was the only company still making an auburn brow pencil... 

...and the rest (of my wallet) was history. I didn't ever make Rouge until this year, but I've been buying ABH at Sephora since they came to the US west coast.
