Setting powders

Hello love’s❤️! I was wondering if any of you can recommend a good setting powder or translucent powder for brown skin? I want something affordable with no flash back but haven’t been able to really find anything 😞

RE: Setting powders

Hi agree Laura Mercier is the best overall for finish, longevity. However the brand sometimes (but not always) irritates mysensitive skin and dry eyes so if your not sensitive, you should find LM is the best, hands down.

RE: Setting powders

I heard Laura mercier was a good one, I’m for sure gonna have to try it! Thanks for taking the time to reply❤️

Re: Setting powders

@chocolatedezzy , it depends on the range of brown tones you're looking for.  Here's some of my favorites, that I've personally tried.  I have a medium/ tan skin tone--not sure how deep of a range you are looking for.  You have to determine what works for your price range, for me the most expensive I've ever paid is for Laura Mercier (but it also lasts me a year--I only bake very lightly and dust lightly to set) but I know powders can go up to $50 plus.

1) Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Longwear Setting Powder Translucent - around $39, available in 3 shades--light, medium and deep.  Do not confuse it with the Laura Mercier "Invisible" powder--that will give you mad flashback.

2) HUDA BEAUTY Easy Bake Blurring Loose Baking & Setting Powder Pound Cake is also one of my top favorites for baking and setting--it's got a decent medium to deep range at $34.

3) FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA - Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder has a range of powders as well that go for $34-- you can try the travel size for $18 (the travel size lasted me a month).

4) FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA - Invisimatte Blotting Powder- this is an AWESOME setting powder.  It just does something to your pores and finishes your complexion so nicely--I can't explain it.  All you really need is a light dusting. It's $32 but mine lasted 6 month-ish.  I think a lot of people sleep on this product.

5) Mented Cosmetics sells a decent setting powder for $25--available in 3 shades, light, medium and deep.

6) Alima Pure's Satin Finishing Power--this is a new find for me this year.  This powder is so so finely milled.  Even finer than Laura Mercier and Fenty. It's got a decent shade range, you'll have to check their website to see if any of the shades will work for you.  It's around $24 plus they are always giving discounts if you sign up to receive updates over email.

7) Revolution London has a pretty good line of powders at $8

😎 Maybeline Fit Me has some decent powders at $6 with a decent shade range selection for medium to deep skin tones.  I hope this helps.
