Pimple

I have been getting random pimples on my face. My face is not acne prone at all and very rarely get pimples. I already use niacinimide which I know can help but I need recommendations for a spot treatment or pimple patches just to help with some of these random pimples.

Re: Pimple

@Gwynn2222  Do you already use salicylic acid (BHA) a couple times a week? Salicylic acid gets down into your pores to clear out gunk (excess sebum, dead skin cells, etc.) that’s blocking ‘em. Some good leave-on BHA products are The INKEY List Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL and Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Exfoliating Toner for Clear Skin. Good rinse-off options are The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque , The INKEY List Salicylic Acid Cleanser , and CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser

Hydrocolloid pimple patches are effective mostly for pus-filled pimples that have ruptured/popped open. The patch forms a protective barrier over the open lesion to help that skin heal, and it absorbs the gunk that’s actively seeping from that lesion. Eh, you can also put a patch on a pimple that hasn’t ruptured to keep yourself from picking at it. Popular patches include Peace Out Salicylic Acid Acne Healing Dots and Hero Mighty Patch. My personal favorites are COSRX AC Collection Acne Patch because they contain centella asiatica, which helps reduce redness. There’s an easier to find version called COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch available at Ulta and elsewhere; these patches don’t contain centella asiatica.
