Contour/Bronzer HELP

Hey makeup lovers!! I am a little stuck and wondering if i can get some help/input. I am recently wanting to try contouring - never have before. I have lighter skin and am worried about getting a pallet or color that is too dark and will make it obvious. Since I don’t know what I am doing - I am wondering if anyone can suggest a contour pallet or cream sticks or whatever you use that you live by! Also - does anyone just use bronzer to contour? Thanks for all of the help!!😊

Re: Contour/Bronzer HELP

@bns8 I also struggled to find the perfect contour shade for my very fair skin, unfortunately it took longer than i care to admit and i definitely had it wrong for a while! But learn from my mistakes! So here is what i have learned over the years (and in aesthetics school as well) you'll want something with a cool tone to create a shadow effect. Make Up For Ever has sculpting powders, shade S112, Shadow Sculpt is perfect for me (fenty 110 is a match for my skin), also Kevin Aucoin Sculpting contour powder in Light is nice as well but use a light hand with this one, its a touch too cool. Cream contour you can get away with a darker color as long as it is well blended, has the right undertone, and is applied sparingly. I love the formula of the smashbox step by step contour trio. They used to sell just the contour shade though. and KKW Beauty contour sticks are great and the light matte shade is perfect for my skin.

RE: Contour/Bronzer HELP

I can relate to the struggle! I’m very light skinned and was super worried to try contouring for the first time. I personally have used a few products and I decided that I prefer contouring with bronzers. I found that medium brown contours were just too heavy looking and coming off too strong. I like the look of a nice light-medium brown bronzer much more. I recommend Physicians Formula butter bronzers, you can get them at a drugstore and they work wonders! Just be careful not to get one that is too orange for your skin. For lighter skinned people, I would also recommend contouring with cream contour! If you blend it in with your fountain it can become a nice blended and subtle contour. I recommend the NYX Contour Stick, or the Fenty Beauty cream contour match stix (they come in lots of light brown shades that work wonders for fair skin). I hope this helps a bit! Good luck 🙂
