Brush suggestion

Hello Sephora family, I am trying to decide which brush set to buy. Here are the options: sephora pro brushes, rare beauty or Anisa beauty.

Can someone help me on this please? I am looking for foundation brush and concealer brush.

Re: Brush suggestion

@spydi I haven't tried the other brands of brushes you mentioned (besides one Rare Beauty Blush Brush), but I do love my Sephora Collection Pro brushes alot. The sale just ended but Sephora Collections do go on sale from time to time. I find them soft and hold up really well to wear. They are a pretty great buy. 👌

Re: Brush suggestion

@spydi, is there anything specifically you like/want in a brush?  I haven't used Anisa, so I can't say much about them, but they look really nice and right now it looks like sets are 20% off, so that's a nice incentive.

For sephora complexion brushes, I like these:

SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Foundation Brush #47 - The shape.  It's great for foundation, but also contours and highlights well

SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Foundation Brush #64 - It buffs liquid foundation like a dream for me, it's not as soft and dense as I like a foundation brush, but it's a good one.

SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Concealer Brush #71 - This is the baby version of 47, and I like how it can be used for patting in product or soft diffusion

SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Bronzer Brush #80 - This is a bronzer brush (?), of all things, but I use it as a big fluffly powder foundation brush

SEPHORA COLLECTION Makeup Match Foundation Brush - This is a good one, nice and dense and durable.  Great for stippling and buffing

SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Powder Brush #50 - Another good one for powder foundation, I usually use this one for powder like Hourglass or Laura Mercier because it distributes the powder well and keeps the finish nice and soft focus

SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Concealer Brush #57 - This is like a baby 56, good for covering up blemish and marks, and buffing them out.  Also a great highlighter for smaller areas of the face

I don't own the Rare Beauty brushes, but since they've been out for awhile, you could probably sift through the reviews here (verified ones) and get a take on them.

Re: Brush suggestion

Thank you so much for helping me with details. I have been eyeing SC 71 pro concealer brush for a while. I saw the reviews but I wasn't sure if it us worth the price. For rare beauty brushes, they have mixed reviews. So I did not find it helpful. I have real techniques brush set with their blender. I am tried to focus on getting a good dense foundation brush and concealer brush which can also be used for eye if required.

Re: Brush suggestion

No problem @spydi .   I felt the same about the RB, the shapes are nice, but I got the impression they weren't too soft or streak prone.

If the cost puts you off of SC brushes, you can wait for a  promo, like a multiplier event BOGO (once they did they a concealer, brush is 50%) or 20% off event.

Re: Brush suggestion

I was ready to get in Sephora sprng sale event as they had 30% off, but I could not decide. They do BOGO and 50%? I never saw SC Pro brushes in that kind of sale. WIll have to keep a close eye out  🙂 But thank you so much for helping me

Re: Brush suggestion

@spydi I haven’t tried Anisa but am looking at their brushes too. I know Marlena from Makeup Geek uses the foundation and concealer brush.

Re: Brush suggestion

Yeah, I heard lot of good things. But I am not sure if it would work better
