Best cleasner/toner/moisturizer

So! I've been trying to figure out my foundation situation, and now that I think I've got a handle on that, I'm going to get the root of the problem and figure out my skin routine. I have combination/oily skin that is completely crazy! After I wash I need instant moisturizer or my t-zone dries out, but then it gets oily within an hour. In the summer, though, my skin could be drilled for oil. I've got the breakouts under control with diligent washing, but I get a few hormonal pimples here and there. So what cleanser, toner, and moisturizer would y'all recommend? And lets not break the bank!

Re: Best cleasner/toner/moisturizer

I also have super oily skin and EltaMD AM moisturizer has been great for me. Like most moisturizers it’s not actively mattifying (I use a lot of mattifying versions of products along with it), but it doesn’t contribute to my oiliness, and I’ve realized that’s about the best I can hope for. It’s very lightweight. The version with SPF is pretty good too!

Hahaha just realized your question is from a decade ago. Oh well

I have combination/oily skin too. The skin care routine I'm using right now is: I wash my face with my Bare Minerals (by Bare Escentuals) Purifying Facial Cleanser. Then I use the Clinique Claifying Lotion in number 2 as toner. (I find number 2 works for me even though they say its technically for Combination skin leaning dry. You might want a different number, but in general I love this product.) Then I moisturize with Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I totally love this product too because it is moisturizing, but at the same time its also pretty light, not overly heavy or greasy. It also gives my skin a nice healthy glow. 🙂 Again, I believe they also have a lighter version of the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion that is more like a light moisturizing gel-lotion. You might prefer that if your skin gets pretty oily. So, those are the products that work really well for me and I would definitely recommend them, especially to someone with combination skin.

Cleanser:

I use Peter Thomas Roth's Beta Hydroxy Acid 2% Acne Wash - it's a mild cleanser that helps control the oil on my face and prevent whiteheads, blackheads, and breakouts.  I also have very sensitve skin and this cleanser does not irritate or strip it in anyway.  The cleanser is $35 but the bottle is 8 oz and it lasts forever!

Toner:

Origins A Perfect World™ Age-Defense Treatment Lotion with White Tea - even though it says lotion it is a liquid toner.  It is gentle on the skin and hydrates my face without making it oily.

Moisturizer:

First Aid Beauty Daily Face Cream - noncomogenic, light weight, not greasy, applies smoothly, and really great for those with sensitve skin.  also is not a bank buster either.

Good luck in your search for your perfect regiment 🙂  Once you have a few ideas of what you'd like to try, definately go to a sephora store (if you can) and get a few samples to see what works for you.
