App Fest 2026

We're getting another App Fest

There should also be another beauty challenge during the fest

Re: App Fest 2026

@haleyvvvv @WinglessOne Chrome and incognito is the only way I can even log into BIC, otherwise I'm able to see posts, but not be logged in.  It has taken wayyyy too long to learn this.  And I had to have a BIC Buddy show me how.  I'm not a computer wiz by any means, but it feels a little silly to have to jump through so many hoops. I've taken huge steps back form BIC and consequently my beauty spending because it was so hard to log in at various points over the last few years.

I was also thinking about how much the beauty challenges of late seem to be pushing me to use the app.  Is this because they aren't getting enough app sales, or is it a push away from the full site for technical reasons, is is less expensive to maintain an app vs. a full size?

Re: App Fest 2026

@WinglessOne , it's interesting to see the set up and usually 21 DOB I lean into ulta more so.  Usually, the 25-30% come right after the 21 DOB, I think? Usually Ulta does like a fall haul or love your skin right after? I'm surprised to see it before Mar 26th .. The Sephora incentives have incentivized me quite a bit .  The roll out of Mac stateside with not one, but two items and a multiplier and a point stack?  🙃

I am with you on store/retailer apps, I only have Sephora and Ulta.  Prior to that, those two and Beautylish's Launch Club.

Re: App Fest 2026

@danielledanielle  21 Days has been lackluster for me over the last couple years, though that might be because makeup in general has bored me. I haven’t even looked closely at this year’s deals—at either Ulta or Sephora. Guess I should do that tonight.

MAC at Sephora US is definitely a good thing, but then I remember my mountain of Ulta points and how I really oughtta start using ‘em on stuff like, you know, MAC stuff. Which is why I passed on Sephora’s point multiplier, which is shockingly amazing because that’s usually how Sephora gets me. 😂 I’m determined to stay in low-buy mode this year, so I’m focused on Sephora point multipliers for things I can’t get for $0 OOP elsewhere (Ulta or Nordstrom). I mean, more points are good, but I’ve finally convinced myself that “free” (reward-redeemable) full size products are even better.

You just reminded me I still have the Launch Club app. I’ve only used it to buy things I expect will sell out quickly, like certain brushes or Lucky Bags (though the latter’s not a quick-sell threat lately). I wonder if Beautylish still texts people for “early access” purchases… they got me a couple times with that, but I haven’t signed up for early access for stuff in a while. 🤔

Re: App Fest 2026

@missjeanie - I don't have the app.

Re: App Fest 2026

@missjeanie @I use the app except when on BIC.

Re: App Fest 2026

@missjeanie I use the website 😀
