corticosteroid-causing acne

SO!  I recently had surgery and was given ~2 weeks worth of dexamethasone.  Since tapering off of the prescription, my (tbh) pristine skin has broken out into full-face, tween acne!  Obvi, I contacted my doc to see if this would resolve and/or for a referral to a dermatologist, but I'm posing this question to the skincare community, has anyone that's temporarily been on corticosteriods experienced this and how did you gently care for your skin?  Seeking gentle or vegan methods to wash and moisturize.
