concealer

Anybody have any concealer that hides blemishes well and doesn't make the blemishes worse, and is relatively cheap?

Re: concealer

Nars pot concealer is great for blemishes (when applying let it sit before going in with your foundation), it’s not the cheapest, but worth it for sure 🙂

SC best skin ever is also a great option for budget friendly! I would also let it sit a couple seconds before your complexion!

Re: concealer

Charlotte Tilbury Radiant full coverage concealer gives me a great blurting effect

Re: concealer

I struggled a lot with really bad acne and it took much trial and error to figure out what works. I think that the best is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer with Medium Coverage Custard  and the NARS Soft Matte Complete Full Coverage Longwear Concealer . I let the concealer sit on my acne spots for a few minutes before I blend to get maximum coverage.

Re: concealer

I know a lot of concealers make blemishes worse because they contain pore clogging ingredients, so definitely look into that, but I use Nars concealer and it works really well in terms of concealing and not making anything worse!

Re: concealer

it’s not at sephora but elf camo concealer is good if you moisturize before you use it

Re: concealer

I've tried this one in multiple shades but have had bad results with it! It sits on top of my skin and does not blend well at all 🫣

I moisturize am and pm quite thoroughly but I see you mention that it's decent provided you moisturize; have you had a similar issue as I've had where it separates?

Re: concealer

Hey! I'm right there with you! I've also been on the hunt lately. Im currently fine-tuning my skincare and makeup game hardcore! Makeup alone won't resolve the root of the cause so I've recently switched to Skinfix Azelaic Acid BHA/AHA Cleanser 1 fl oz / 30 mL  and have already seen obvious results and improvements in the last 2-3 weeks since I've been using it! My local Sephora doesn't have any of the other acne+ products in that line but I'm dying to get my hands on them!

As far as "concealers" go; I just stumbled across the Shiseido Waso Koshirice Tinted Acne Treatment. I haven't tried it yet but I'm eager to (my cat just had emergency surgery which landed me a $2100 bill- while I'm between jobs! 😱🫣).

BareMinerals Blemish Rescue Skin-Clearing Spot Concealer also looks very promising!

Some MUA tips I've found over the years have been invaluable!

- use an eyeshadow primer (not a concealer) as the first step to covering the pimple, like Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Dot a tiny bit on the blemish and give it a bit to set; it will make the concealer stick better (atleast for myself this trick works wonders!).

Other products I'm LOVING right now are Glow Recipe's Glow Recipe Strawberry BHA Pore-Smooth Blur Drops 1 oz / 30 mL  and Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum

As for blackheads; I've just added Dermatologica's Breakout Clearing Fizz Mask once, maybe twice a week max; this little godsend has cleared those buggers out in two uses! It's sulphur based though so be sure to spot test! My horse had SEVERE reactions to any sulphur based product and ended up with a chemical burn (that said I'd guarantee that the product I used on her with sulphur was exponentially stronger; just proceed carefully with new actives and ingredients especially on the face). Dermatologica Breakout Clearing Booster is highly recommended as well by others, so I've added it as well. It's a salicylic serum like product but I've yet to be able to say for sure that it's giving me definitive results; it does tend to pill a fair bit in combination with my other skincare products so it's not as highly recommended by me as Dermatologica's fizz mask...

Let me know if you try any of these tidbits and how they work for you!!

Best of luck, I hope this helps!
