breaking out so baddd

okay hey yall , basically i used to have extremely clear skin; but ever since i started birth control pills ive been breaking out like crazy !!! my skin is still oily , but im havign such bad breakouts... its all over my forehead mainly. is there anything i can do to help this

Re: breaking out so baddd

Forehead acne is often influenced by hormonal changes in the body.  Hormones like androgens can increase oil production in the skin, leading to clogged pores and acne. To get rid of this try and use products with Benzoyl peroxide like the CLINIQUE Acne Solutions Clear Skin System Starter Kit.

Re: breaking out so baddd

I broke out randomly badly my mom introduced me to proacvtiv it’s a great acne brand and my skin is so clear now! You can’t get it at Sephora, but would definitely look it up!

@graciecake You can try Cetaphil’s Derma Control Oil Removing foam wash, they also have a Derma Control Oil Absorbing Moisturizer which has spf in it. I’ve never tried it but i’ve heard the La Roch Posay purifying foaming cleanser works good for a lot of people as well.

If any of those don’t work or you just want to try something a bit more intense than Cetaphil, PanOxyl 4% creamy facial treatment wash is also pretty good. It has benzoyl peroxide in it which is supposed to help treat and prevent acne. But be aware that this stuff bleaches fabric/towels so I would suggest using it in the shower and also use an oil-free moisturizer and spf after! I’d say use it once a day rather than twice.

Also if you want, you could carry blotting papers with you and use them to soak up any access oil on your face throughout the day if you notice your looking really shiny.
