What happened…

My birthday was about a week ago… i received four Sephora gift cards. However, I could only load two onto my app so that’s what I did. I saved the other two so on the two gift cards that I had combined it was $140 maybe that’s just me but that’s a lot of money so I made a purchase is about $91 so where did my gift cards go because I went to go make another purchase for about $100 and there was no gift cards I should’ve had to be at least $40 left. Can someone please explain to me what happened and why because $40-$50 is a lot of money and I kind of wanna get that back because again that’s a lot of money that I could be spending on something else my other two gift cards I will not be adding onto the Sephora app. This has greatly disappointed me.
