Washing off make up

Hey i have very acne prone skin. What cleanser do you use to take off your makeup?

@kjcode I love the Farmacy Green Balm and the Boscia Makeup Breakup Cooling Cleansing Oil! I have a mini of the Farmacy one I got as a sample which I have been using for many days, and I tried a one time trail of the Boscia one which is excellent too! If I had to choose one I think I’d have to say Boscia just because it’s quicker and more sanitary in a pump whereas Farmacy is in a tub like container and thicker so you really have to make sure to rub in and give it some time to start removing!

I LOVE Philosophy Purity Made Simple one step facial cleanser. It removes all makeup with no residue, while moisturizing. I still finish with Thayers witch hazel aloe vera formula with cucumber.

I second the Farmacy cleansing balm as well! I have acne prone skin and I find that this helps gently remove my make up. I also like using it before the OLEHENRIKSEN Face the Truth™ Gel Cleanser.

As a few have stated already: double cleanse when wearing makeup.  It’s really important to remove the makeup and then to wash your face.  For the first cleanse, I like CLINIQUE Take The Day Off™ Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 3.8 oz/ 125 mLor TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser. I’m not prone to acne so I can’t recommend a second cleanser - I think the second cleanser is more important to match with your skin type.

Are you using a makeup remover or are you looking for a face wash to do this? I use Clinique’s Take the Day off makeup remover. Any gentle cleanser should work even if its a drug store brand.

Hi @kjcode,

I typically use FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm

to remove my make up.  It instantly removes my makeup and does not leave my face burning like some products do.  Then, I like to cleanse again with Youth To The People Superfood Gentle Antioxidant Refillable Cleanser 8 oz / 237 mlor BOSCIA - Clear Complexion Cleanser.  Both cleansers are clean and leaves my face clean and soft.

i use REN Clean Skincare T zone cleanser

What I use is Burt’s Bees micelles cleansing towelettes to remove makeup. Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser daily. Clinique hydrating jelly with the irritation active cartridge concentrate daily. Finally, Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel twice a week. It sounds like a lot, but it’s really not.

@kjcode I use MAC cleanse off oil or Tatcha cleansing oil and then Bioderma Sensiobio makeup remover followed by MAC face wipes.

For taking off makeup I use boscia make up break up oil cleanser followed by First aid beauty cream cleanser.
