The ordinary products

Hello everyone! I just bought the ordinary vitamin suspension 30% in silicone. Does anyone know if it helps to hydrate the skin? Or does it let the skin dry? I am very confused about it. If anyone have used it, please help me. (I bought also the salicylic acid and I am using it every night and the vitamin c before my sunscreen and makeup)

Re: The ordinary products

@giovannapires6  The one with silicone would not fully absorb (because of silicones) so effective strength would be lower than mentioned on the pack. They have couple of Vit C without silicones. I think the one @cianni  mentioned is without silicone plus they also have a Vit C powder that your can mix into any serum or essence (read up on restriction).

Re: The ordinary products

Yup @naturalooks15 the one I use is silicone free! I try to avoid silicones for everyday use anyways, but the potency issue definitely is an important factor to consider too!

Re: The ordinary products

@giovannapires6 I have the other version of the vitamin c (The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% Serum with Pure L-Ascorbic Acid 1 oz/ 30 mL

its grittier than the one you’re using. I think the main difference between what you’re using and mine is the texture. I double checked the Ordinary website and it pretty much just says that the silicone version is for people who don’t like the grittieness of the other version. I personally don’t mind the feeling, and it goes away in a few mins anyways.

What i I would suggest though is to use it sparingly at first. Vitamin C can irritate your skin when you first start using it, and The Ordinary rates the product you’re using as having a “very high” potency
