The Ordinary

I am interested in trying "The Ordinary" skincare, has anyone tried it and had good results? Also wondering which products would be best for combination and acne prone skin? Thank you!

The Ordinary

But a few super popular products that work with most skin types and are universally needed that can get you started and allow you to testt their quality is: -the Caffeine Eye Solution (for puffy eyes and dark circles) -the "Buffet" peptide serum (anti aging, kind of a mini-instand botox) and if want to a good, home-quality facial peel and can handle a slight burn for 10 minutes, the AHA/BHA Peeling Solution. Highly recommended. these were the products that made me a believer.

The Ordinary

Their products are amazing and have a crap Ton of great reviews. I have tried or am currently using: AHA/BHA peel solution glycolic acid toner solution ascorbyl gluco-something vitamin c suspension/HA spheres Buffet niacinamide hyaluronic acid azedic (sp?) acid caffeine eye solution And they're ALL super effective. the problem people have when they think something isnt working or breaks them out is they use too much, they combine things that dont go well together, they use a version not compatible with their skin type (oil based version of vitamin c on oily skin, for example), they dont begin a new product slowly (too much too quick), and don't wait to allow your skin to purge and get used to it.

Re: The Ordinary

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating and Brightening Daily Toner 8 oz/ 240 mL The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum for Oily Skin 1 oz/ 30 mL THE ORDINARY - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. ( I use the African black soap to wash my face )  I've been using thses for my combination acne prone skin, the difference is amazing. Also after applying these i uses a mix of coconut oil, aloe vera and rose hip oil and vitamin E Oil.use at night. Use the niacinamide before the hyaluronic , as i fine the niacinamide makes my skin a little dry

RE: The Ordinary

using the glycolic toner; niacinamide+zinc; azelaic acid suspension and a lot more. it takes a while to see results depending on skin type but you gotta be patient plus it doesn't hurt their products does not break the bank. after two or three bottles of serums i appreciate them! 🙂 it is a trial and error with these products but for acne prone and combination skin i definitey recommend the glycolic acid and salicylic acid.

Re: The Ordinary

@Beautygirlq  I have been trying some stuff now for over a month. I have very sensitive acne prone skin. I’ve tried The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil for Skin Elascicity 1 oz/ 30 mL

THE ORDINARY - Alpha Lipoic Acid 5%

And the retinol 1% cant tag it. I have little bumps all over my face and I find the alpha lipoic acid has helped so much.

Re: The Ordinary

Thanks foor your help!!

Re: The Ordinary

I've been using their products for a few years now and I have not been disappointed. It's such great skincare at an amazing price! I haven't used anything for acne because I don't really break out that often but I do use an exfoliating mask from them. It's pretty intense but I love it so much. It's made my skin so baby soft and got rid of all texture on my skin. I'll tag the product for you. The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% High-Strength Peeling Solution for Brightening 1 oz/ 30 mL
