Suggestions for oily/combo acne prone skin it’s kinda more sensitive and dry at the moment in certain areas because I’m on taro adapalene benzoyl peroxide. If anything just a good moisturizer for now but I’m open to trying other products when I’m off the prescription. Currently I use the YTP Kale Green Tea & Spinach Cleanser in the mornings and Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 m...  on almost a daily basis but especially under makeup. My dermatologist hasn’t given me any recommendations yet as I’ve only gone once for the prescription. Open to suggestions on a routine including moisturizers (especially for under makeup,) exfoliants, serums, cleansers, etc.

Re: Skincare

Hi @Novaaa8 , I've found Drunk Elephant Protini™ Polypeptide Firming Refillable Moisturizer and First Aid Beauty Deep Cleanser with Red Clay 4.7 oz/ 134 g to be great products for my fluctuating skincare needs.

The cleanser will remove make-up, dirt, and oils so moisturizing soon after cleaning your face with it is vital.

The moisturizer will bring your skin back to feeling normal again without loading it back up. It's effective without being thick or heavy. A little goes a long way, so I was careful with how much I pushed out of the lid.

I hope this is helpful!

Re: Skincare

@Novaaa8 Blume just came out with a new Moisturizer for acne prone skin Blume Meltdown Gel Cream for Acne-Prone Skin with 72 hour Hydration 1.7 oz / 50 mL , haven't tried it but the ingredients look good!

I def recommend you use The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum  if you don't already use Niacinamide in your routine somewhere! 😁

Re: Skincare

You can’t go wrong with the basic cerave gentle moisturizer and I find it goes nice under makeup. The avene cicalfate is nice to use at night where you’re really dry. If you really want a medical grade, yet pricey, moisturizer go for the skinsceuticals triple lipid. It works wonders for retinol induced dry skin. Another good product is a hyaluronic acid serum which helps the skin maintain moisture.

Re: Skincare

Ceramide serums can be really helpful for repairing the moisture barrier and if you're on benzoyl for breaking out, ceramides tend to also be safe for acne. It isn't sold at sephora but the cocokind ceramide serum is very nice!
