Skincare Burning

I’ve recently ordered skincare from Sephora to try something new and I’ve been using it for a few days and I’ve noticed that after I’m done cleansing my face and I put on my moisturizer, my skin starts to burn for a literal 10 seconds and then it stops completely when the product is absorbed. Is this normal? The moisturizer I’ve been using is the first aid repair cream for sensitive skin but maybe the cleanser is too harsh? It’s the origins checks and balance cleanser, I have acne and want to clear up my skin but I need advice on what skincare routine would be best for sensitive skin! Any info is greatly appreciated.

Re: Skincare Burning

@AnimalLover98 That cleanser has quite a few essential oils including spearmint, which your skin might not like. Some people are more sensitive to them. Do you have any issues with other cleansers?

I have tried the origins one and a drug store brand which would be cerave but everything breaks out my skin! I don’t know if it’s the products I’m using with it too!
My go to skincare routine that I’ve been consistent with was

first aid beauty sensitive skin cleanser

glow recipe watermelon toner

the ordinary soothing and barrier support serum

the first aid beauty sensitive skin moisturizer on the pump version

my skin has never been this bad and I’m turning red and breaking out especially on my checks which I haven’t had before
