Recommended Foundations

I'm looking for suggestions for great foundations that are good for dry, acne-prone skin. I have cystic acne, with lots of redness and inflammation. I am hoping to find a non-comedogenic foundation that covers these issues and doesn't irritate my skin or suck out what little moisture it has. Any suggestions?

Also, I tried Josie's Argan Oil Vibrancy Foundation, and while it didn't dry me out, it was way too oily. I live in a pretty hot/humid area so ... let's just say it wasn't pretty.

RE: Recommended Foundations

Use Estée Lauder double wear. It's full coverage (covers acne and scars completely) and doesn't break me out which I suffer from cystic acne. Make sure you clean your face well after wearing make up at night, I.e. Make up towelette, then cleansing oil or balm make up remover, you may follow up with a micellar water then your face wash and toner. You don't want anything clogging your pores which will cause acne. Not only make up will be in your pores but the dirt and grime of you have it on all day.

Re: Recommended Foundations

Bobbi Brown has pretty good foundation for cystic acne because it has heavy coverage.  It is on the pricier side though, as I believe it retails around $50 a bottle.  However, you are paying for what you are getting though 🙂

Re: Recommended Foundations

I have heard really good reviews on the most recent bareminerals liquid foundation. If you have oily acne prone skin this may workout for you. I have similar skin concerns with cystic acne and I'm using the Clinique Matte foundation
