Post-Gym Help!

heyyy!! so i just officially started going to the gym again and i love it! i am already feeling so m ugh h better in general and can’t wait to see my progress over time! i have oily skin typically and am prone to acne very easily. my skin feels so icky and sweaty after going to the gym and i need some advice. should i wash my face again once im home? is there an after-gym product to help me? any advice would be great!!

Re: Post-Gym Help!

Tower 28 Beauty Mini SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid 1 oz/ 30 mL

SkinSmart anti microbial cleanser (called a cleanser but actually a spray)

also try not to wear much or any makeup so you can spray the spray on your face.

Re: Post-Gym Help!

Just shower after!

Re: Post-Gym Help!

I also spray it on my face when I wear face masks at work. It’s in my work bag too. Helps with long shifts and prevents breakouts from that.

Re: Post-Gym Help!

Def back up the hypochlorous acid such as the tower 28 one. The cheaper option on amazon is by skinsmart and really nice. Vanicream is also a gentle cleanser you could use

Re: Post-Gym Help!

stridex BHA pads (walmart) after workout! helps with the sweat on the way home

Re: Post-Gym Help!

Use hypochlorous acid spray after the gym it kills bacteria. At Sephora there is the tower 28 one but there are also cheaper options on Amazon

Re: Post-Gym Help!

For oily skin post-gym, use oil-free, non-comedogenic products. A gentle cleanser can remove excess oil without stripping skin. Follow with a light moisturizer and mattifying primer. Blotting papers are handy for quick touch-ups. Regularly clean workout gear that touches the face, like hats and headbands.

I really like the Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid 4 oz/ 120 mL  after the gym. I use it like a hand sanitizer for my face. It’s fresh and cools you down after a workout and kills any bacteria on your face! There is a mini size so you can just pop it in your purse or gym bag.  I can’t live without it and always repurchase when I’m out

Re: Post-Gym Help!

Love that idea!!! I’ll look into it thank you 🙂

Re: Post-Gym Help!

@sunshinegirlz, yes to gym goals!

ARe there any specific products you currently use...I would start there.  Usually, I do cleansing when I get home, but in the past, I've brought cleansing wipes like SEPHORA COLLECTION Cleansing + Exfoliating Wipes , (but I really like Costco's Kirkland wipes TBH) and then a powder, such as Supergoop! 100% Mineral (Re)setting Powder Face Sunscreen SPF 35
