Popped pimple treatment

What do you apply to an open wound from a pimple? I do not pop my acne (to avoid scarring) but there are instances where this happens out of my control and either pus or blood comes out. I never know whether I should be trying to get rid of the oil by drying it out or keeping it moisturized so it will heal properly. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

@DrDOB What I do when I get a zit is put a PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dots right away! It helps with the inflammation and also helps to stop the bacteria from spreading. And after I remove the dot, I wash my face and usually gets rid of pimples pretty fast!
