Philosophy does not work anymore!

Hey guys so I have been using philosophy skincare, am & pm cream and their face washes for about nine months. Their products are amazing and did wonders for my skin. However lately it seems like they have been given me a pimple and they have not been working. I hard before that you have to change your facial routine ever six months. Did anyone else run into a similar situation? what facial products should I use now? I have a sensitive, combo skin and pretty annoying Tzone! Help

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

Before you write off Philosophy products, if you still have the bottles, call Philosophy to see if your products are expired.  I received 2 bottles of Philosophy face wash from Sephora last year on 2 separate occasions.  I finally got a refund.  It doesn't happen often but sometimes the stock isn't rotated and things get overlooked.  I always call a manufacturer when a product I love just stops working. They will ask for the codes on the bottom of a bottle or jar to see when it was made, in my case the Microdelivery Wash expired in 2015!  It also gave me pimples.  Sephora made it right and I received a full refund.

I have combo skin as well, vut live in an ultra dry climate so in the winter my skin can also get a bit parched. The CAUDALIE - Gentle Cleansing Milkis one of my favourites! It is fairly gentle on the skin and doesn't strip away your skins natural oils!

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

@Anonymous I have been a Purity user for YEARS. I stopped for a few months this year and picked up 5 or 6 bottles when they were on sale for Black Friday. I will be returning all of them minus the one I've started to use. The formula has definitely changed and not for the better. It used to be a great, cult favorite cleanser - there wasn't anything wrong with it. Now I really feel that it does a poor job removing my make up and it makes my skin feel dry.

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

@GG84  I agree!! It's definitely not like the old Purity!! @gurugorgeous I like the Tatcha Camila Cleansing oil and Rice powder. Works great without stripping the skin!! Tatcha The Camellia Oil 2-in-1 Makeup Remover & Cleanser 5.1 oz/ 150 mL

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

@gurugorgeous I really like the Tatcha line. They have TATCHA - Pore-Perfecting Moisturizer & Cleanser Duofor a good trial of it!

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

@gurugorgeous I really like First Aid Beauty skincare. The FIRST AID BEAUTY - Skin Summit is a great introductory kit- it's got cleanser, a face mask, a serum, a cream, and exfoliating pads which are pretty gentle.

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

@gurugorgeous The Philosophy face wash got reformulated recently... not sure about the other products, but it's likely. You might like Ole Henriksen or Fresh if you're looking to switch.

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

@fieldsofclover did they? I never liked the original Purity, what did they change?

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

@makeitup305 Alcohol and more glycerin, maybe? I forget, it came up in the peeves thread a few days ago.

Re: Philosophy does not work anymore!

@fieldsofclover Wow thatโ€™s too bad. Not smart of their part switching up such a staple, and not even for the better!
