Hyperpigmentation

Does anyone have an recommendations for hyperpigmentation/acne scarring? Thanks!

Re: Hyperpigmentation

@JHiII I struggle with hyperpigmentation both from acne and sun exposure. I'm currently using Paula's Choice CLINICAL Discoloration Repair Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL and it's one of the only products I notice actual lightening of dark spots (particularly sun spots) with (products with niacinamide in general are good for discoloration). I've also used Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum and oil and it helped a lot. The Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Serum For Dark Spots And Uneven Texture also brightens me up quite a bit - lactic acid products are a good exfoliant for sensitive or acne prone skin in general that generally lighten without being too aggressive an exfoliant. Adding some glycolic acid into your routine can help as well; I've used Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum in the past and currently use Paula's Choice Glycolic mask one to two time a week and the latter in particular gives really good, almost instant results.

Bottom line IMO, incorporate serums or products with niacinamide, licoriche, lactic acid, Vitamin C or glycolic acid and then figure out the right level of exfoliation for you to prep your skin for those serums (e.g. Paula's choice has a number of exfoliants that are great with options for every skin type).
