Help :(

I’ve had these little hard bumps on my cheeks for about two months. I’m not sure what’s caused them (perhaps wearing a mask daily). But nothing I’ve tried seems to get rid of them. I’ve tried exfoliating daily, chemical exfoliants (AHA and BHA), and even just leaving it alone. If anyone’s had anything similar and can offer some wisdom I’d greatly appreciate the help. (Also these photos were taken after I scrubbed my face so looks a lil more irritated than usual)

Re: Help :(

Hey! I have acne and I love the Priactiv+ 3 step system! I hope this helps and you are having a great summer!

RE: Help :(

I used to have this problem! I set up a regular routine and made sure to follow it and they died down. I used Clinique’s Liguid Facial Soap (oily skin formula) to wash the makeup off every night. (if you have mascara on use Clinique’s Take the Day Off Makeup Remover for eyes). After I washed off my face I used Clinique’s Clarifying Lotion (step 2) to exfoliate and Clinque’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + to soften my skin. If the facial soap is too hard on your skin try Olay’s Gentle Foaming Cleanser. Once a week I used a peel-off face mask and rotated which kind I used (since they each have a different purpose). I recommend Freeman’s Peel-Off Masks. The kinds I have are French Pink Clay Peel-Off Mask (pore clearing), Pomegranate Peel-Off Gel Mask (revitalizing), Green Tea + Orange Blossom Peel-Off Gel Mask (brightening), and Sweet Tea + Lemon Peel-Off Clay Mad (clearing). Hope that helps:)

Re: Help :(

You said you're wearing a mask daily-- how are you washing it? Try unscented detergent and no softener. Same for your pillowcase.

Also, if you're wearing makeup under the mask, stop. Do your eyes only, they're all that shows anyway.

Exfoliating will just irritate your skin further now. Gentle cleaning, an unscented gel moisturizer (Clinque's is god) and no serums or extras might help heal you up. I deal with a lot of rashes myself due to an autp-immune illness, and these tips help me.

You may want to ask your regular doc for a dermatologist rec., and do a teledoc session. They will better be able to assess the problem.

Re: Help :(

Hey! This happens to me sometimes, what I find that helps is “The Ordinary: Niacinamide 10% + zinc 1%”

I apply it to my face and let it dry before my moisturizer. Bumps are usually gone in 3-7 days (7 if I’m on my period).

Hope this helps!
