Cleanser for acne

I have suffered from severe acne since I was 8. I have oily skin and I am looking for a cleanser that could speed up the process of clearing my skin. I have tried many products like Cetaphil, Clinique, and other common brands to try to clear my acne but nothing has worked. I wanted to start by getting a cleanser that I could rely on to help clear my skin. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Cleanser for acne

@Beautyandskin A cleanser  doesn't stay on the skin long enough to treat. One good leave on acne treatment and a dermatologist trip will help a lot, and cut through the trial/error phase. Don't forget the moisturizer to keep balanced.

From the drugstore: Clearasil Rapid Action Face Wash

From Sephora: Kate Somerville EradiKate™ 3% Sulfur Daily Foaming Cleanser + Acne Treatment 4 oz/ 120 mL

PROACTIV - Deep Cleansing Wash

I personally use the Kate Somerville face wash and have been loving it for some time now. When I was younger, I used the Proactiv line to help clear my teenage acne and now that Sephora carries Proactiv, I feel like you should try it out- it won't hurt! As for the Clearasil wash, it is a trusted drugstore face wash I buy for my teenager that has helped keep her skin clear for a long time now.

RE: Cleanser for acne

Have you tried natural African black soap? It worked so well for me when my acne was unbearable. Some say it’s very drying, but I have extremely oily skin so I was fine was a bit of baby lotion afterwards.
