Cinique

Acne solutions clear skin system, anyone tried this, if so any good results?? I have had bad acne only on my left cheek for a year..tried a lot of things even a dermatologist..please any reviews on this three step acne solutions..bought it for 28 bucks at ULTA hopefully it works or at least helps!

Re: Cinique

I purchased the Clinique Acne Solutions starter kit for my hubby.  It seems to be working well for him so far, but keep in mind that men tend to have have thicker/oilier skin that is less sensitive.

I personally only use the spot treatment from this line, since my skin is very dry/sensitive.  If I apply it too much or too frequently, however, I will feel a stinging sensation... so I am very careful and only apply it to really bad spots.

If you feel a stinging/burning/itching sensation, I would suggest that you stop use of the product and switch to something else.  Listen to your skin!

Just a few suggestions for you... I have bad acne and oil...

Just a few suggestions for you... I have bad acne and oily skin as well.. The only product line that doesn't make me breakout worse is Philosophy. * wash your pillowcases every 2 days. Sounds like a lot but once I started doing it, it made a big difference! * clean your makeup brushes once a week. You can buy a product if you wish but I use equal parts dish soap, white vinegar and warm water. The makeup falls right off and make sure you rinse them very well. Once I started doing these 2 things on addition to my normal routine I noticed a big difference! Good luck!

Re: RE: Cinique

Hi! It's because of the alcohol in it. Usually Products from big big brands like Clinique sacrifice natural ingredients for a formula that will last on the shelves. This isn't great for you. I recommend you use something milder on your skin. Kate Sommerville has amazing products that are more natural and kinder to your skin. Look for the pink Cleanser, the Anti Bac Solution and anything ErradiKate. I personally use a ton of Murad products but those are a bit pricier. Those are totally worth it. Because it sounds to me like you have very sensitive Skin, I would go with either the Time Release Acne Cleanser (super creamy, so it does not overdry) or the clarifying cleanser. The Oil Mattifying Moisturiser is the stuff from heavens. Invest on that product - it usually lasts me 2 months. For other Solutions I recommend Kielh's Deep Pore Cleansing Mask, Tata Harper's Clarifying Mask and Ole Henriksen Truth Serum.

Some rules of thumb: never let tap water dry out on your face. if this happens, spray thermal water or a mild mist and wipe your face with a clean cloth. Glycolic Acid is the best ingredient to keep the skin glowing, but don't overdo it. Try Benzoyl Peroxide for persisting acne and then slowly (very slowly) face it out. Never go for a cleanser that's foamy or that looks too much like soap. Serums are your best friend for some side effects like skin dullness, uneven skin tone, redness, etc. Just try to stick to two serums only otherwise too many ingredients are going to saturate your face. Try natural products and invest on yourself :).
