Bumps And Uneven Texture

I started using “The Ordinary Salicylic Acid” serum. I need another affordable product for acne and bumps/uneven texture. This product hasn’t helped with acne well and now i have uneven texture/bumps. Help! (something for teen) #The ordinary salicylic acid 2% solution

Re: Bumps And Uneven Texture

I had some acne and bumps that would not go away no matter what I used. A dermatologist told me to try a drugstore product called Panoxyl cleansing wash and it was a game changer for me. Cleared me up and did it fast.

they sell a 4% and a 10%, if you are very sensitive try the 4%.

you can also invest in a BHAs product. They work underneath the surface to unclog pores and heal acne, Sephora has lots of great options

Re: Bumps And Uneven Texture

@SkincareNiki   Couple questions for you:

  1. Which one of The Ordinary’s salicylic acid serums have you used? They make two: #The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Exfoliating Blemish Solution 1 oz / 30 mL and The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution, Gentle Exfoliating Serum for Blemishes 1 oz/ 30 m... .

  2. How long have you been using it?

No matter what you use on your skin, results take time. And some acne-fighting ingredients, like salicylic acid, can cause a sudden increase of acne (“purging”) that usually calms down within a month; think of it as crud being evicted from your pores. Also, there are different types of acne and they don’t all respond well to the same ingredients. You’ll need a dermatologist or primary care doctor to diagnose which type of acne you have.

Without knowing your acne type, I’ll list a few acne-fighting ingredients and products you might wanna consider trying—with a caveat that your best bet is to see a derm or other doctor for treatment options for your particular skin.

There are a few other anti-acne ingredients, but those 3 immediately spring to mind.

Re: Bumps And Uneven Texture

I’ve been using the exfoliating one for about a month or so now.
