Week 24 (June 2-8): Technique focus - highlight! (See below for prompts/details!) Thanks for 2+ amazing years and some amazing collabs for the Makeup Challenge! I’ve updated some new themes for May and June. I hope you will join me in sharing your looks, flatlays, or tags for items you use in each challenge! Upcoming Weekly Challenge: Week 20 (May 5-May 11): Spring Bloom Inspired! This is a repeat but flowers are a favorite makeup inspiration for me. Whether it’s something currently blooming in your yard or your neighborhood, or just a pic of your favorite spring blooms, let us see your looks! X-post and show your spring garden/plant pics on the The BIC Plant and Gardening Thread Week 21 (May 12-May 18): Dessert themed looks! Lemon meringue, strawberry shortcake, crème brûlée, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, carrot cake, funfetti cake? Tell us what are your favorite desserts (or the prettiest ones) and create a look! Week 22 (May 19-25): Feature Focus - LIPS! Take extra time with lips this week and share your tips, faves, new or old standbys. Try new techniques, like overlining or ombré, or extra prep, or new lip combos with liner, lipstick plus gloss, and let us know what’s working for you! Feel free to x-post with 100 Days of Lipstick Challenge Thanks for the suggestion on feature focus @Titian06 ! Week 23 (May 26-June 1): Technique focus - contour! So many great products out there for contour, let’s take a week to pay extra attention to contour techniques and placement. Try creams, powders, underpainting and share your looks and faves. Feel free to combine with highlight (next week’s focus, or explore contour on its own). Week 24 (June 2-8): Technique focus - highlight! Getting ready for summer, let’s explore everything from the subtle to the blinding gleam and glitter. What do you use to keep your glow on all day and all year long? Week 25 (June 9-15): Bronzed beauty! We revisit this every year but for good reason, I love seeing and trying out summery, bronzey looks. Week 26 (June 16-22): Perfume perfect! I am a sucker for a beautiful bottle of fragrance, celebrate my birthday week with me by using a lovely perfume bottle as inspiration for a fresh summer look! It can be one you own or one you have loved from afar. Week 27 (June 23-29): Feature focus - lashes! I have so many false lashes but I never have time to use them, so I’m dedicating a week to liner and lashes. Have you tried any of the new self applied eyelash extensions, magnetic lashes, singles or triples vs strip lashes? If you don’t prefer to wear false lashes, or don’t have time, share your favorite mascaras or techniques (primer, lash serums, colored mascaras, etc). What helps you get that dramatic or gentle lash look? Spoiler Completed 2023 Weekly Challenges: Spoiler💗💗❤️❤️💗💗💗 We celebrated the One Year Anniversary of this thread in November!! Although, somehow the challenge ended up with 61 weeks in a year, I’m not sure how that happened, lol. Anyway, I figure in year two, we’ll do some repeats and some new challenges. I also plan to add in some bonus hair challenges, maybe once a month. Okay, for simplicity, I’m going to update the numbering to be Week 1 for the new year, I hope that is not too confusing. I’ll try to get 52 weeks in the year this time! I guess I also need to update the title for 2023.Week 1 (Jan 1-7): Focus on brows week! Do a bold brow or shimmery brow or just spend more time on your brows this week. Inspired by @SportyGirly125 Week 2 (Jan 8-14): Rock a red lip week! I was actually never a fan of dolls or Barbies as a kid, and the flood of Barbie on Instagram recently was kind of annoying to me, but I also have a soft spot for pink and Barbie, so I thought I’d add to the challenge. Can be anything from subtle to all out Barbie.Week 22 (May 28-June 3): Social Media Inspired! It’s a great way to spark some creativity and maybe most importantly, a great way to shop your stash! I started with a list of some challenges below, but also happy to edit/rearrange/consider other ideas along the way. I hope you will join me! Feel free to post as many or as few times you’d like each week with photos of your looks. If you don’t like to post your face, feel free to do a flatlay of the products you used to do your look. Also, if you get behind or ahead, feel free to post pics whenever you have time. Can’t wait to see all your looks! Have fun! Please feel free to suggest some other challenge ideas in the thread and we’ll add to the coming weeks!! 💕💗💕💗💕

Ahem, ahem, HELLOOOOO BIC@danielledanielle@Sunnysmom@Samtian@itsfi Welcome to BYOF, Bring your Own Freckles. The guide below is how I usually do my freckles and along comes freckles come the responsibility of great cheeks (that's what what he said?) Now, I am not an expert but over the years, I've learned what works for me and my large cheek real estate. Depending on your face shape and your desired/preferred look, you can definitely edit this up or down. The guide is really meant to be a 101/starting point. Items you'll need (really, everything is optional)Primer (if needed)Foundation/skintint/any type of base (if needed)Concealer (if needed)Contour (if wanted)Bronzer (if wanted)Blush (if wanted) Freckle substitute:Brown eyelinerBrown eyebrow pencilFreck Beauty Freck The Original Freckle Freck XL Light brown lip liner [PSA: please be warned youll be seeing some close up images of my greasy hair, skin, bare brows, and large pores] 1. Prep your base, however you like. I find that better the base, better the cheeks. Really. Your bronzer, blush, contour pops out more and it's much nicer to blend on top of a foundation or concealer or skintint vs bare skin. 2. Take any straight, pencil like object, find the hollows of your cheeks. If it's your first time, maybe try to find before your base so you're not leaving finger prints. Once you find your hollow, place the straight, pencil like object flat against your hollow. this will be your contour 3. Once you find your contour, you'll place your bronzer above that (it's OK if you need to overlap against your contour, remember, I just have a lot of real estate) and your blush will go on above that bronzer line. 3a. Please contour anywhere else you see fit, for me, it's the sides of my forehead and jawline and double chin. Now I've place both contour and bronzer for demonstrative purposes but irl, I'll apply these step by step so they don't muddle together (is muddle a word?) I'm using MAKEUP BY MARIO Softsculpt® Multi-Use Bronzing & Shaping Serum so I was very generous with the amount of bronzer applied. 4. Blend. Brush choices are important, for contour, I use a small rounded brush and blend upwards for my forehead and hollows of the cheeks but downwards for my jawline. 5. Over lender? This is where your base brush or sponge you used to apply your base comes in clutch. It should still have some residue of your base on it, simply take the brush/sponge and clean up the edges (before and after in the picture below). Or if it really got out of hand, place a small dot of concealer in tha area you want to remove and blend out the edges using your brush or sponge. 6. Now time for blush placement. Because I'm getting older (🥲), I tend to place my blush quite high, it helps lifting the overall shape of your face vs if you place your blush too low, your face will droop slightly. Look straight ahead, and draw an imaginary line down from the pupil of your eye to your jaw (demonstrated in the picture) and ideally, this is where I'll place my blush and I don't let my contour go past this line. I place 2 dots of Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Mini Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Encourage in the places I want the most color payoff, center of my cheeks and tops of my cheekbones. I usually blend a little on the tops of my nose because I like to blend I'm still young and cute 😂 7. Blend all together. Be careful here not to overblend your blush too low towards the bronzer and the contour, don't let the hard work go to waste!!! 7a. Now if you did let your brush get overblended, it's A-OK. Just repeat steps 3 and 4 with a light hand. Now, comes the freckles! Freck Beauty Freck The Original Freckle Freck XL is my absolutely freckle product. I've tried a few others (because it's so pricey for so little product) but I find that it's worth the money plus, little goes a loooong way. 8. Brush off the excess product and start dotting in sections. I start with my nose and at first, you'll look like your have chicken pox (picture 1 below) but it's OK, it'll get better. 9. Blend quickly. Use your finger tips for super natural freckles. Use a puff for medium, noticeable freckles. If you like a really strong, beautymark status freckles, let it sit for about 5 seconds and then blend. It kinda stains (not your skin) and it'll stay put. 9a. If you want natural looking freckles, space them out. Don't cluster too close. Try a few, step back and see how you like them, go in for more or stop there. Now you can stop at the nose but if you're like me and like being extra, follow your blush and dot them randomly. get creative!! Just remember to work in sections and blend in between so your freckles don't set. 9b. If you're using an alternative like eyebrow pencil, the method will be the same but you may have more playtime. Unless you're using a product that sets, take your time, see what looks good, what looks bad. Eyebrow pencil worked great for me and found that it was very easy to remove the ones I didn't like (just take a puff and some powder and tap tap, gone!). 10. If you feel extra fancy, finish with highlighter on the tops of your cheeks, brow bone, and tiny bit on the point/ball of your nose. Voila. now you are ready for summer. Hope you guys enjoyed! Stay tuned for our other BIC tutorials! 🥰❤️🫡🙌

Having young skin often correlates with your age group, with teens especially needing skincare tailored to their personal needs and genetics. It's crucial to start skin care early to establish good habits. Suitable products for young skin include gentle, sulfate-free cleansers that don’t strip natural oils, lightweight, oil-free moisturizers to hydrate without clogging pores, and broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen for UV protection. Mild chemical exfoliants like lactic or salicylic acid help maintain clear pores, while spot treatments such as benzoyl peroxide or tea tree oil address occasional breakouts. This routine helps maintain the balance and health of young skin
