I've been pretty low maintenance with my nails the last couple of months, trying to focus on strengthening them and either just applying a nail hardener every few days or a very sheer neutral polish, but decided to play with color and made another effort to try press-ons during the last half of this month. I found a set of mini duo polishes from the Olive & June collab with Colleen Hoover she's an author, young adult novels - didn't know that until I saw the display at Target). There were different duos and while I didn't intend to pick up any nail polish, it was on clearance for less than $5 so I thought "why not?" It was only this pair on clearance; I even went over to the price scanner thing to confirm and yep, sure enough, $4.97. What nail polish no-buy? Four ninety-seven. Done! Top & Base Coat: Canmake Nail HardenerThumb, index & pinky: Olive & June x Colleen Hoover Perfect Pinwheel, a bright, coral creme - this is one of the most true-to-coral shade I've seen in a polish. 2 coats give a nice opaque coverage. Middle & ring: Olive & June x Colleen Hoover Perfect Pinwheel topped with Olive & June x Colleen Hoover Island Time, a sheer, shimmery pale purple that with the topper, turned the color into a soft medium pink shade with a subtle shimmery finish that is more noticeable in person than in photos I really like Olive &June Perfect Pinwheel, enough that I decided to wear it on its own a few days later. I tried doing nail art for the Memorial Day weekend, but it was not working out for stars or stripes so I went digging through my press on nails and voila, Memorial Day weekend mani! 🇺🇸 This set included stickers (vs nail glue) for adhering the press-on to the actual nail, which I prefer. As I've done with other press-on nails, I applied a clear base coat (Canmake Nail Hardner) to my nails before applying the sticker to it.To those who have long nails (naturally or otherwise), oh my goodness, how do you do it?!! I had a hard time adjusting to having these on, especially when using my phone, which I think was primarily due to the length of these press-ons - these are held out as mediums, but I dunno about that. They seem very long to me, longer than medium length. Despite having some challenges with doing everyday activities, these were fun and a fairly quick and easy way to jazz up my nails. After the long weekend, I went back to that Olive & June x Colleen Hoover set, opting to wear Olive & June x Colleen Hoover Island Time on its own this week. This sheer, shimmery, pale purple polish was fussier than the coral shade - it took 3 coats to build up coverage and started getting thick and goopy on that third coat. That said, this is a very pretty shade. 💜

@WinglessOne I think I will probably stick to applying cuticle oil first and then nail/hand cream, since that seems to have been working for me. Thanks again for all the info, I feel much better now haha!
