I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.
You're right- the larger containers are actually more expensive. Paying for 6 treatments for $45 (full price), you get an extra 0.2 oz by buying the foils. Weird.
Yes, it's totally bizarre. I've always assumed that if you buy more product you're getting a better deal, or at a minimum, paying the same price per ounce. The only thing I can think is that it's more expensive to produce 3 products in jars than foils so you're paying for plastic and the convenience of using as much at a time as you want.
Jeyrosella - Thanks! I had never thought to check out QVC, I just figured that since it wasn't on Sephora or Ole Henriksen's website it must not be available. Will check it out.
Another impressive lippie finish this month! I admire the dedication to one lip product.
I am completely confused by a BB night balm. What is that supposed to be? Is it tinted like their BB creams? A night makeup? I need the smiley with all the question marks above his head...
& I'm laughing at the name "ultrabland" - it just seems like the saddest name for a product! 😄
Thank you! I love that lip gloss. Will be curious to see which will become my go to now. For awhile it was a Laura Mercier lipgloss but I think it might be misplaced in one of my many handbags.
Honestly I sampled the night BB balm and I'm still trying to figure out what it is supposed to be. It's less tinted than a normal BB cream but still has some tint to it. I'm still not convinced about why I need tint at night time. I found myself thinking that maybe it was for those girl who hate going bare faced, even at bed time, but if you have skin issues the difference it makes is pretty marginal. I'm prone to redness after using retinoids and the like before bed and it's definitely not enough to counteract it.
And yes, ultra bland is a super sad name for a product. That's like a worse insult than calling someone basic or norm core.
That's super bizarre. A lightly tinted night cream that doesn't even cover redness from retinol. Sounds basically useless, IMO.
Yeah, that's how I felt shadetertiary. But working in marketing I'm frankly not that surprised. There have been more times than I can count that we were expected to sell a product with a minor "upgrade" that had little to know actual benefit to the end consumer.
You seem to try s lot of the same hair products that I do, have you tried Kerastase before? If so, what did you think?
The first thing that caught my eye in your first picture was the empty MJ gloss! That's impressively clean!
I once got to that point with that same Fresh Sugar Rose balm, but it was because it went through the wash. :'(
Definitely feel better about missing the Lancome promo. Any loves?
I'm so impressed with those lippies! I'm making it my goal to finish one in the next 6 months. These are awesome!
You used that beauty squegee thing, didn't you? 😄
The teensy lip gloss spatula? I have one from the container store and I absolutely LOVE it. Of course even with it I didn't manage to get every last little drop out of mine like beauty2sample.
Wow! You really did use those lippies to the last drop. And I thought I got my lipgloss clean. 🙂 I've had the same problem with that eye gel sporadically. Sometimes it is fine and it feels great, other times it does burn a little.
I like pickles! I also need to put a serious dent in my beauty products. Fun thread!
My empties were a little meh this month. Only thing I would repurchase is the shiseido masks.
I absolutely hated subversion primer and the tarte mascara.
I cannot remember what I thought of those Shiseido masks. May need to try it again. I like that coconut cream by The Body Shop. It smells so good, too. Coconuts are like coffee beans. I hate them, but I love the way they smell.
That's a bummer about the subversion primer. I have one in the drawer from a value pack (not sure if that is the right word) I got at Costco that has both a mascara and a primer but haven't tried the primer out yet. I like those masks too. They are the eye ones, right?
I tried the primer over and over again, with different mascaras, different methods, etc, but it just would not work for me. Made me look clumpy and gross. I do have a tough time with mascaras though. My lashes are naturally thick, and won't hold a curl for anything.
I do love those masks though. They are the eye ones. I use them once a week for my 'relaxing spa moment' 😄
I'm curious to see what I think of it. I haven't had great experiences with eye lash primers to date. I have one by Dior (I think) and I swear it makes my mascara harder to apply and more clumpy no matter what I try. I've tried doing them immediately one after another, letting the primer dry, neither seem to work.
