Hi, @Les777 ! For my fine, thin hair, I useVerb Ghost Weightless Shampoo 12 oz/ 355 mL Verb Ghost Weightless Conditioner 12 oz/ 355 mL I've been using these products for several years. I try other products, but always come back to Verb. I can't recommend the styling products I'm using because they were significantly reformulated. I haven't heard anything good about the reformulations. The old formula is no longer available. Look for lightweight products and try not to use more than two products such as a cream and gel to avoid weighing your hair down.

Unfortunately, I had a similar experience. It made my hair feel dry and brittle.

Pureology Color Fanatic Top Coat + Clear Hair Gloss Clear @Josette23 will add gloss without depositing color.

I love Briogeo Destined For Density™ Peptide Shampoo for Thicker, Fuller Hair 8 oz / 236 mL and Briogeo Destined For Density™ Peptide Conditioner for Thicker, Fuller Hair 8 oz / 236 mL . I have short hair so I really can't help with the ponytail question. When I had long hair I used hair ties made for fine hair. I use Drybar Full Pint Medium Round Brush and Drybar Full Keg Boar Bristle Brush . Hope this helps
