Did anyone find a salon or professional in San Diego? I need help desperately. I'm in the same horrible situation. My hair has been matted for a year now.

@l1nley if you want your hair to be healthy have your hair professionally colored. Don't do it yourself. And use products that are meant for colored treated hair.

Before I wash my hair, I use the Mielle light rosemary oil on my scalp and pure almond oil on my ends (both ~$10 on Amazon) and let it sit in a bun for 2-4 hours. In the shower, I use the Sephora scalp scrub before shampooing to get rid of any excess oil and keep my scalp from getting greasy, and I try to do a hair mask in the shower every two weeks (Amika has some great ones!), which is great for damage, and after I finish showering I use Amika Hydro Rush leave-in conditioner, CHI heat protectant, and Olaplex No. 7. I've been doing this for about 5 months and my hair feels super soft and is growing like crazy!
