Order canceled, why?

I made an order a few days ago and just found out that it was cancelled, when the stuff is not out of stock.

Why is this happenning? and why haven't I received any notification about the cancellation?

if it is cancelled, why does Sephora still charges my credit card?

Update:

I received a PM from customer service asking for my order number. I replied with the number.

The next PM I received says that sephora needs to verify my information. I take this as the reason why the order was canceled.

But is cancelling my order (but not sending any notification about the cancelation) the correct way to ask me to verify my information? Especially after Sephora successfully charged my credit card. I do not understand what needs to be verified.

So I asked whether and when I am going to get the refund back, since the order is canceled already.

No response since.
