Gift card PIN number damaged

Please help my PIN number on gift card scratched off? I see this happens often with Sephora gift cards. Please help

Did someone help you? I got my daughter a giftcard and the PIN number only has 2 digits instead of 8!

My daughter has two gift cards. One for $30 and another for $25. Both of them are the paper type and the card number and pin came off on the sticker and cannot be read. I see this is a common issue. Will they work in a store? I’m very disappointed after reading the comments. Seems these cards sold at third party retailers are extremely defective.
