Credit Card Look

I was recently approved for the credit card (Sephora Visa). Since the temp card was not working because of a CVV issued and then was removed from my account, I decided to go in store and ask if they could look up my credit card account. The person at the register said yeah, and that they would need my drivers license and last 4 of my social. So great, I decided to go spend 45 minutes shopping and gathering everything I wanted to buy. I go up to the checkout, she rings up all of my stuff, I had her my license, type in the last 4 of my social and then receive an error saying the look up system is “down”. The ladies at the counter were very nice, and they tried 2 terminals and their hand held to see if it would go through. Each time they got the same error that they couldn’t look up the account. Has anyone else experienced this? Using the Sephora card seems impossible unless you actually have it, I don’t find it as user friendly as other stores. 

so needless to say, I did not walk out with my stuff and wasted a bunch of time. ;/ 

ohh! And I was also told to go in the store to have my account looked up to use my credit card in the meantime by a CS Sephora and Commentity representative.
