You can def feel it on your lips but its not uncomfortable or heavy or anything like that. I only put it on to try it, wasn't leaving the house, but I did eat a bowl of chili and drank through a straw : ) because I didn't want to take it off! I had to be very careful. There was glitter on my spoon where any lipstick would be but it didn't look like it came off at all when you looked at my lips. It was pretty good. I got the glitter off my teeth with a q-tip before I ate any none made it back on after.

I didn't find it uncomfortable - it wasn't gritty or anything.

BUT - I noticed afterwards I had glitter in my mouth, all over my teeth, all over my face, etc.  I'm not sure if I would've had different results if I'd mixed the glitter into the gloss vs tapping it on top (which is what I did)

The takeaway here is that, yes, it will make a mess to some extent. 😉

No one seems concerned that they are eating glitter!  Do we know what this glitter is made of, and is it good for people to ingest it?

I just figured if they are selling a kit with glitter meant to go on the lips, it would make sense that it is food grade.

I don't mean to offend, but I am puzzled because I wonder if everyone knows something that I don't, and that's more than possible!  I should say that I haven't seen that people are discussing concerns about eating this glitter. We do eat the lipsticks and other products that we put on our lips, that's where they go.  So, I guess my questions should include, "What is Food-Grade Glitter made of?  And is there such a thing as Food-Grade Glitter?" 

@Anewxa, has me in stitches thinking about crunching glitter in one's teeth and then having glittery insides, from one end of the GI tract to another.  😉

Who ever thought there would be  Glitter in Lipstick!  🙂

@tsavorite I can honestly say I haven't looked into what this particular glitter is made of, but there is such a thing as food grade glitter.

I have used it at work and at the bakery I used to work at.  It is used to embellish pastries and baked goods, sometimes wedding cake decorations.  This type is made of gum arabic, I believe.

As for lipsticks, those do often contain glitter too, whether we think about it or not.  That's how they get the shimmer 😉

@Mochapj,  I see what you mean about glittery baked goods.  I wouldn't eat that.  I think of the shimmer in lipstick as being mica,  or crushed pearls, and the glitter or shimmer in eyeshadows as being mica or crushed seashells... just from reading ingredients now and then.  I don't wear shimmery lipsticks or glittery eyeshadows, even though I think they can be very beautiful on other people!

Maybe it's overkill but here's another swatch. Blood 1 & 2 together, with glitter then gloss over glitter. Excuse the rest of my face! They are actually screen shots of a video. 🙂

So beautiful! The 2nd pic esp is OMG it looks so so so good on you! I was afraid to apply thick enough layer of gloss fearing it will wipe the glitter away lol..did you use a brush @sabinad ?

Thank you!! I used my finger. I pretty much had to dab to not wipe it off. I didn't try glitter over the gloss though. I don't know if that would be better or worse. Lol.

Your lips are perfection. I really like the top with the glitter, for glitter it looks very sophisticated!

Thank you!! I think I like it better with out the gloss too. It's much more sparkly in person than it looks in the picture.

Nope definitely not an overkill. Did you use an ombré look with the gloss? Love love love
