@lmart101 In the morning you can rinse with water, apply the caffeine eye cream, then moisturizer with SPF. In the p.m., start with a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Once you're ready for treatment, choose one to start. The hyaluronic acid is for hydrating do it would be gentlest. The others are actives. In fact, the mandelic acid and lactic acid are both AHAs so you don't need both. What's your experience with chemical exfoliants? If it's new to you then start with the mandelic acid two or three nights a week after cleansing, follow with the hyaluronic acid and moisturizer. On two separate nights a week, you can use the retinol instead of the mandelic. But you wouldn't start all of these right away. With skincare, it's best to move slowly, adding in a new product and then waiting a couple of weeks before adding the next new product. This helps you check for negative reactions and have a better idea of what actually works for you.

For dull and rough skin, I'd highly recommend the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask 5 oz/ 148 mL @naty0402. If you want something to help with hydration and moisture though, I'd consider fresh Rose Face Mask 3.3 oz/ 100 mL (or the Isntree Rose Calming mask as a dupe) or the TonyMoly Golden Pig Collagen Bounce Mask.

I am in my mid 40’s as well and honestly the best thing I have used on my skin is the Kiehl’s moisturizing cream. I live in Arizona so my face is dry most of the time but this is great for day and night.

I used to love Fresh’s masks, but the cleanser never really worked for me. Actually, both of them (separately) gave me some decent-sized breakouts. I started using Farmacy’s Green gel moisturizer (don’t remember the actual name) and it helped me a lot. As for cleanser, I’ve been loving the newest on from Biossance. It’s their squalene cleanser. It’s been super gentle and non-drying. These have really helped calm my skin when I get the occasional hormonal acne breakout. They’ve really helped lessen the severity. I also use Differin gel (0.1%) from Target for acne. It’s the generic for adapalene. You’d apply it first after cleansing (like you would apply a serum), and then moisturizer after that. It may cause some dryness and peeling after first using it, but with consistent use it has kept a lot of my normal acne at bay and the initial dryness has completely gone away, too.The biggest suggestion I have is a piece of advice from my esthetician friend: before applying products (whether to your body or face), make sure your face is damp. It’ll help the product absorb better and will ultimately help the product be more effective.

WOW! This is a great question! First of all, aging just comes with life! Some of us age more “graceful” than others & some really age badly! Honestly, unless you are willing to go through cosmetic surgery, nothing really slows aging! There are products that help but none help completely! One thing that will really help is staying out of the sun! I know, every one tells you this, but it’s true! I too did not listen to this warning! I had tan lines all year round from age 5! I’m now 68! I was a constant swimmer during the summer months & am I ever paying for it! My skin is so very dry & I itch a lot because of it. You have no idea of all the products I’ve tried that just did not work for my dry skin! I did find one brand that really helps! Sadly it’s not sold at Sephora! I use Perlier products that are made with Royal Jelly, honey products! They are not very pricey & they last for long periods of time. The ones I love the most…the ones that really make my skin soft & no itching are as follows: Royal Elixir Cream of Youth w/fresh Royal Jelly, Body Honey Miel Anti Aging Body Balm, Royal Elixir Youth Creator w/Royal Pro-Peptide ( for my neck) Royal Elixir Extraordinary Face Mask, Imperial Honey w/Imperial Drops of Honey( this is great all over) These products make my skin so very soft & no itching at all! It does ease the aging but as most products is only temporary! I use this every day as my routine! Also when I use the Body Honey Anti-Aging Body Balm, I put a few drops of Shea & Argan oils mixed in with it. These are all from Perlier & I’ve been using their products for 35 years! I use most of their scented body creams w/ Shea butter & I put nothing else on my body! Most of the products I use on my face are OleHenriksen like Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum, Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleeping cream & Sheer Transformation Prefecting Moisturizer…these are for my face which I use every other day. I buy these products strictly from Sephora & I always stock up on these products so I never run out! Perlier is only on HSN & they have great bargains on their products, you just have to look up their schedule as to when they are on! The Perlier products are all made in Italy! Believe me, the honey in these products is very very soothing & softening to my extra dry skin! They are worth every penny! My sun dried skin is very withered looking & has been since I was in my 20’s & these products even make my skin look very smooth! I hope you give them a try, just start w/one product at a time to see if you like them. I would start with the Honey Meil Body Balm or the Imperial Honey w/honey pearls( this one is not really for the face but you can try it on a small area of your neck! Believe me, I love all these products & never use anything else on my skin! If you try them, I hope they work for you!

@xxLauraxx I really liked that moisturizer, too, and sadly, it's also only available as a mini size on the Ole Henriksen site, so maybe they are discontinuing it. But, I also use the brand's Vitamin C serum, so I picked up the OLEHENRIKSEN 3 Little Wonders Set set during the Rouge sale, which also includes the moisturizer. However, my skin gets too dry for that moisturizer during the colder months, so I do my seasonal switch to First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair® Cream Intense Hydration
