@bloopkitten When you say “nothing seems to work,” do you mean everything irritates your skin, or is there something specific you want skincare products to do for your skin (besides not tick it off)? Since you’re in your early teens with super sensitive skin, you’re probably better off with a very simple skincare routine: Gentle cleanser - Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser is a good basic option. CeraVe and Cetaphil also make good gentle cleansers. e.l.f. Pure Skin Cleanser is a good non-lathering cleanser that plays nice with my skin when it’s in angry reactive mode (this cleanser contains soothing colloidal oats). If you want to use a makeup remover first, consider Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water; that’s a nice gentle one. Moisturizer - Vanicream Moisturizing Lotion, or if you want something thicker/richer, Vanicream Moisturizing Cream. My daily moisturizer is CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion, but when my skin’s irritated, Vanicream’s lotion saves me. Since I mentioned e.l.f., you may wanna try their Pure Skin Moisturizer. Broad spectrum sunscreen that’s at least 30 SPF - your hyper sensitive skin might like a zinc oxide sunscreen. Native makes a good unscented one for face and another for body, and you can use the body one on your face. (The body version’s a larger tube and costs less per ounce than the face version.) If you have a local Trader Joe’s, I think they still sell a mineral sunscreen that’s not expensive. The only reason to add anything to that routine is if you have a specific skin issue to treat. Otherwise, you don’t need toners, exfoliants, serums, etc. Besides, with very sensitive skin, the fewer products you throw at it, the better.

@timba11 I'm not familiar with either of these brands and it's hard to know without feeling the bristles in person what the quality is like. This is more of a know brush brand so I trust them moreI've also had good experience with Spectrum Brushes This brand, Rephr, has more affordable natural eye brushes, which are nice but not a must. The Jessup you mentioned seems to be duping the Morphe x Ariel Collab. Idk what the difference in quality might be, but the jessup seems to have really solid reviews. The DUcare seems a little redundant when it comes to brush shapes but that might work out for the best if you like and use those shapes often (less washing).

Hey! I totally get where you’re coming from—I was in the same boat not too long ago, and it felt super overwhelming at first. The good news is, starting skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. You just need to understand your skin and build from the basics. Here’s a simple way to start: 1. Start with the basics:Cleanser – gentle, non-strippingMoisturizer – something that hydrates without feeling greasySPF – yes, even if you’re indoors sometimes. Super important for long-term skin health. 2. Know your skin type:Are you oily, dry, combo, or sensitive? That’ll help guide your product choices. 3. Don’t go overboard. You don’t need a 10-step routine. Even 2-3 good products can make a difference. Focus on consistency over quantity. As for brands, I’ve had good luck starting with products that are more natural or minimal in ingredients—especially when your skin’s just getting used to a routine. One line I came across recently uses herbal, clean formulations and is super gentle. You can take a look here (not a promo—just something that’s worked well for my skin personally). Also, don’t be afraid to patch test! Your skin will let you know what it loves and what it doesn’t. Happy to answer any specific questions too—you're not alone in this! 💛

I used to suffer from these little bumps too. Something that really helped me was a good gentle exfoliant and a good oil cleanser to unclog the pores. The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads with Glycolic + Lactic Acids – Exfoliating Pads with AHA really helped me. I would use them every other morning before my skincare and I found that after a week the little bumps on my face were almost gone. Another exfoliant that I found really made a difference was the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate™ Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash with AHA & Enzymes 4 oz/ 118 mL . One of these exfoliants partnered with an oil cleanser to really clean out the pores did the trick for me.My favourite oil cleaner for getting rid of these little bumps was the MAC Cosmetics Hyper Real Fresh Canvas Cleansing Oil 6.7 oz / 200 mL . I would massage this into my face and on the spots that I have little bumps until they softened up and the pores trapping all the gunk was out. It may take a few days of doing this to really see a difference but I found that it definitely helped. Hope this helps

Just checked out the Pixi collection on Clari, and honestly, it’s a solid lineup for anyone into gentle yet effective skincare. I recently tried the Glow Tonic and the Rose Tonic both legit lived up to the hype. The Glow Tonic gives a light exfoliation without stinging or drying out my skin, and the Rose one is super calming after a long day.
