Happy New Year, BIC! ✨ We’re stepping into 2025 with a crucial reminder: we must take special care of ourselves — this year and EVERY year. Some of us may already have set resolutions and/or stellar routines nailed down; regardless of where you are on your self-care journey, we could all use a few extra nudges and motivation to spend some extra time on ourselves! 🤝
Much like posts from previous years, we’ve come up with a list of weekly prompts to challenge you to strut your self-care skills. 💗 This time around we’ll be focused on all things skincare, because when our skin feels good, we feel GEWD. 🌟 We encourage you to participate and respond to the prompts that inspire you – and don’t be shy to share any other self-care tips and tricks along the way!
Week 1 (1/8 – 1/14): Curating the perfect rise and glow ☀ skincare routine to kick off your day
Week 2 (1/15 – 1/21): Relaxing in your favorite face/eye mask(s)
Week 3 (1/22 – 1/28): Trying out tools to promote wellness (rollers, high tech tools, DIY massage . . .)
Week 4 (1/29 – 2/4): Adding some extra indulgence to your body care (baths, butters, oils, scrubs etc.) 🛀
Week 5 (2/5 – 2/11): Washing your makeup brushes, towels, pillowcases, etc. — whatever touches your GORG face 😘
Week 6 (2/12 – 2/18): Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums (yes, this is skincare too!)
Week 7 (2/19 – 2/25): Sharing your favorite jumbo or refillable skincare goodies to get the best bang for your buck 🤑
Week 8 (2/26 – 3/4): Giving your hands and feet some extra love (masks, creams, exfoliants, etc.)

@curlychiquita Holy crap! This skincare routine is obviously working well for you, because you do not look 50 at all! 🙌 I'm jealous!
Thank you, @Shosh85! ❤️ That’s really nice of you to say. I think the Alastin is causing the redness in my face. When I finish that I plan to switch to something else.
P.S. My back knows I’m 50. 🙄 I keep needing to go to PT for different areas of it.
@curlychiquita I would've never guessed you were 50! ..... but I know what you mean about back pain! I'm almost 40, but definitely feel older because of my neck and upper back pain. Just found out a few years ago that I have arthritis in my neck, and have been going to PT because of it....so there's that. 😬
@Shosh85 You’re humble. You looks super young. I always think you’re in your late 20s 😘🌹So hurray keep doing whatever you’re doing
I absolutely love you for saying that @blackkitty2014 😊 This is why I love the BIC - kind people like you giving me a confidence boost! ☺️
You look stunning! Your skin is so healthy and glowing! I love your skincare routine, I think it’s safe to say the Augustine Bader is a staple it’s staying that’s so neat you found a cleanser that works for both of you! I’m also a big fan of La Mer I’ve gotten some samples! I think that’s a great way to end the day! Thanks for sharing your skincare routine! You are glowing ❤️❤️ @curlychiquita
Thank you, @peculiarzmakeup! ❤️ I really do love the Bader and the La Mer. I love the Victoria Beckham x Augustinus Bader priming moisturizer, as well, I just happen to be out of it right now.
I’m glad you found your skincare loves ❤️ @curlychiquita
My skincare routine changes often, but this is what I am currently using;
1) Abib Deep Clean Foam Cleanser
2) Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner (AM)
3) WLDKAT Saffron+ Oatmilk Glow Serum (AM)
4) The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + HA Serum (PM)
5) Innisfree Nourishing Cream with Ginger Honey
6) Good Light Alphabet Oil (mostly in the PM)
7) Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask 2x with Super Volcanic Clusters (I use this about once a week)
Normally I use Glow Recipe Plum Plump™ Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum, but I just ran out and am too broke to buy more at the moment, so I'm trying out these other serums for now 😉)
Not pictured here, but I also use Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm, on days I wear makeup and need to double cleanse.
@Shosh85 What a great routine! I haven't seen that alphabet oil before, but I'm intrigued.
Thanks, @PrettyPaint! The Aphabet Oil is probably one of the best oils I've tried so far! I love that it's not super heavy or greasy and most importantly, I love all the vitamins it contains. 😃
Awesome routine @Shosh85 ! I've always wondered about good molecules but haven't picked it up.. do you love it? anything in particular you recommend from their line?
@jaaayp This is toner is only the second thing I've tried from Good Molecules, but so far I'm really it! I've only been using it for a couple weeks now, but have definitely noticed some reduction in redness from scratches/scars I got awhile back. The only other product I've used of theirs is their HA serum, which I thought worked better than The Ordinary's HA serum because it didn't pill up like The Ordinary's did. The next thing I plan to try next is their Super Peptide serum. (My face is dry and dull, so I tend to go more for the brightening and hydrating products)
OOOoooHHH - thanks for the feedback @Shosh85 I've always seen it at ulta but never picked it up. Now that I think about it, I think I have some free samples that I got as part of ulta's freebies (they always kinda include good molecules for some reason). I think I should definitely try to pick some up next time! 😁
@Shosh85 Great routine. I have discovered some surprisingly good stuff when I am using whatever I have at hand, between finishing my regular products and buying the replacements. You never know what your skin is gonna love.
Thanks @fatimamummy! I agree, sometimes it's not so bad when you're forced to shop your stash 😃😉
@Shosh85 the Innisfee ginger and honey cream sounds intriguing. The Farmacy Mini Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm 1.7 oz/ 50 mL is a big favorite of mine too.
@CorgiMommy Yup, the Green Clean is a classic!
The Innisfree cream is so good! It's a pretty thick cream, so probably best for dry skin. I also really love the light honey-ginger scent it has. Unfortunately, I found it at Marshalls (this is actually my third jar) so when I stop finding it there, I'm not sure if/where I'll be able to get it 😢
@Shosh85 Great routine! The Innisfree Ginger Honey Cream sounds lovely. I hope you discover some new loves. Sometimes when I run out of a certain product it forces me to try new things! Very inspiring. Great photo!
@Mellmars1185 Yup, I probably wouldn't have gotten the motivation to try those serums if I hadn't run out of my Glow Recipe serum 😉 So far this combo is working well for me!
