2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 4 - Indulging in body care

January Challenge visual_010825.jpg

Happy New Year, BIC! We’re stepping into 2025 with a crucial reminder: we must take special care of ourselves — this year and EVERY year. Some of us may already have set resolutions and/or stellar routines nailed down; regardless of where you are on your self-care journey, we could all use a few extra nudges and motivation to spend some extra time on ourselves! 🤝

Much like posts from previous years, we’ve come up with a list of weekly prompts to challenge you to strut your self-care skills. 💗 This time around we’ll be focused on all things skincare, because when our skin feels good, we feel GEWD. 🌟 We encourage you to participate and respond to the prompts that inspire you – and don’t be shy to share any other self-care tips and tricks along the way!

Week 1 (1/8 – 1/14): Curating the perfect rise and glow ☀ skincare routine to kick off your day

Week 2 (1/15 – 1/21): Relaxing in your favorite face/eye mask(s)

Week 3 (1/22 – 1/28): Trying out tools to promote wellness (rollers, high tech tools, DIY massage . . .)

Week 4 (1/29 – 2/4): Adding some extra indulgence to your body care (baths, butters, oils, scrubs etc.) 🛀

Week 5 (2/5 – 2/11): Washing your makeup brushes, towels, pillowcases, etc. — whatever touches your GORG face 😘

Week 6 (2/12 – 2/18): Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums (yes, this is skincare too!)

Week 7 (2/19 – 2/25): Sharing your favorite jumbo or refillable skincare goodies to get the best bang for your buck 🤑

Week 8 (2/26 – 3/4): Giving your hands and feet some extra love (masks, creams, exfoliants, etc.)

Hit the “Reply” button below and let us know how you are practicing self-skincare! 😍 Be sure to use the “#” to tag any products mentioned in your answers, if applicable.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

@Missnur Your routine sounds amazing. I have never tried anything from the Saint Janes brand.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

@Missnur, I’m so glad you mentioned these. I’ve had my eye on their serums for a while. Will definitely be looking into them more now. Ohhhhhh, that Missha Chongogin cream 😍 is really good.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

I never heard of Saint Jane.  Will have to check it out @Missnur

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

@Missnur These both look great. I really want to try some Saint Jane products in the future!

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

Never heard of saint jane these look amazing I’m gonna look more into these looks like you have a great routine ❤️❤️❤️ @Missnur

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

@Missnur  Oh I’ve never seen these before!  I just checked and they are not a Canadian item.  Boo.  Beautiful packaging though!  Do they have a fragrance to them?

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

@TeamBIC   For a quick rise and glow I start off with First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads with Glycolic + Lactic Acids – Exfoliating Pads with AHA to clear up any oils and kinda use it to do double duty to tone my skin first thing.
Tatcha The Brightening Eye Cream with Vitamin-C for Dark Circles 0.5 oz / 15 ml is a new addition to my routine.  It’s light and creamy and absorbs beautifully.  #tatcha the brighenjng serum is my new vitamin C.  It’s got an almost watery serum consistency.  It leaves me with a nice light glow.  I follow with Ultra Violette Fave Fluid Ultralight Screen SPF50+ 2.5 oz / 75 ml which has a pale pinky nude colour.
Everything together is quick absorbs well and feels so lightweight on while leaving my skin feeling fresh and lightly tacky and ready for makeup.  The Armani Beauty Prisma Glass Hydrating Lip Gloss with Squalane 06 Amber Shine  adds a natural touch of colour to my lips while making them comfortable and hydrated.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

@heartsmyface Great routine. You always have amaxing skin, so I will be taking notes 📝. I love how you added a lippie!

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

Oooh, so many good ones here, @heartsmyface! I've had that Tatcha eye cream sitting in my loves for a while now.... glad to hear you're enjoying it! ....... and oh, that sunscreen sounds wonderful- especially the pinky nude color! Will definitely have to give that one a try sometime! 🙌😃

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

Ultra Violette SPFs are on my list @heartsmyface! I hauled a few (maybe a little more than a few 😉) Japanese and Korean sunscreens so I’ll have to make a dent in those before picking up more but I plan to try at least one of the UV sunblocks before the year is over.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

Good to know about the Tatcha Brightening & Firming Vitamin-C Serum with Ferulic Acid 1.0 oz / 30 ml .  I just ordered it to replace their discontinued vitamin c serum.   @heartsmyface

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

@heartsmyface I really want to try that Tatcha eye cream. Do you notice a difference at all in terms of dark circles? I have pretty bad dark circles, and I haven't been able to find a product that makes a huge difference.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

Love the idea of exfoliating pads especially for a non morning person like me these would be splendid Tatcha eye cream is the best these are fantastic picks! @heartsmyface

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

@peculiarzmakeup they’re great!  They give me just enough of a wipe to refresh me without me having to wash my face.  Unless I’ve been naughty and haven’t washed my face at night, I don’t like washing my face in the morning.  I’ll generally use a toner on a cotton pad or one of these pads and it does the trick without me getting all wet.

Re: 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge

That is a great general rule of thumb! Love it ❤️ I might just add these to routine. 😊 @heartsmyface
