Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masksπ
@heartsmyface I wasnβt sunburnt but you know how your skin feels funny when youβre in the sun to long. Almost like a leather feeling lol. Maybe itβs just my skin.
@ather Aw yeah, dried up skin barrier. oils! All the oils!!
I actually just made my own homemade rose water simmering rose petals from the garden until they were colourless, which has been really nice, softening and relieving. It was already pretty oily but I added a few extra drops of rosehip oil to make it extra nice! I put it in an old toner mister and itβs sitting in the fridge for refresher mists. Plus it smells divine!

@ather I've not tried that one!!
@lmaster Itβs a good one!!
I hope this gentle mask gives your skin some much needed soothing and hydration, @ather!
@quspork It definitely did!!
@ather, it sounds like the mask lived up to its "relief and rescue" name. π It's always good to have a soothing / healing mask on hand to treat sensitive skin.
@itsfi It was sooo good!! Nice to have a great mask on hand!
Arnica is one great healing ingredient.
@elleb810 Yes. It seems like an ingredient that really works with my skin too!!!
@ather taking arnica sublingually really helps with face sensitivity and inflammation.
@heartsmyface Oooo thatβs good to know!!
@ather @I never thought of using this for after sun! I do really think this is a great mask though - glad it worked well for you
@Kim888 I didnβt either but I was using my regular masks that help with extremely dehydrated skin but they didnβt seem like they were enough. So Iβm wondering if I was having almost a reaction from to much sun so I thought Iβd give it a try. My skin can be very sensitive and react to things so I thought why not try it out. Worst thing it wonβt do anything and no loss there. I also usually keep my oils for night time use and decided to use it today and my skin is finally feeling normal again.
Started the morning with the Pacifica Reusable Under Eye Mask. I love the idea of a mask that can be used again and again, and this seemed a promising choice. You choose whatever serum/eye cream you want, apply a generous layer, and top it with these silicone gels for 15 minutes or so. I love this also because it seems eye creams are a sample staple, and it is a way to use them up before they expire.
I have been using the Sunday Riley 5 Stars Retinol + Niacinamide Eye Serum 0.5 oz/ 15 mL # underneath, to (hopefully) help with absorption. They stay put and are easy to clean. So far, a π
The Peach Slices Snail Rescue is a repeat, as I am steadily making my way through my second jar. This clear, thick, gel mask always give my skin an extra boost, which it needs. Even in summer months.
The Kwailnara Melon Soothing Mask lived up to many expectations when stumbling upon something with this name. A sweet honeydew scent that lingered throughout the 25 or so minutes I wore it. Generous, milky serum that was thick enough not to drip. The mask itself was medium weight, without slits, and fit great. 10/10 will be using this one again!
Finally, the Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Night Mask 1.7 oz/ 50 mL # mask. This goes on my cheeks nightly as it feels like a salve but absorbs like a moisturizer - much quicker. It is like an improved version of the Honey Savior, which left too much of a greasy feeling on my face for regular use. This started as a promo thanks to the gentle nudging of @heartsmyface , and here I am with a nice little tub that is making my skin very happy π
@missy94612 yes, I think popping it in the refrigerator for an hour or so would make it an even better summer treat, too!
@eshoe Oh gosh I love that night mask!! Iβm glad itβs treating you well as well! Reusable eye gels eh? I have to check these out. I remember being excited about the concept of adding my own serums to dry face mask sheets, but then only ever used them two or three times cause it was a messy process to saturate them. This seems more promising.
Yes, @heartsmyface - your review of the Farmacy was a gentle nudge to try the promo, and now here I am with the FS. Perfect for my dry cheeks!
yeah messy and time-consuming. Not to mention the washing. Reusable is great in theory, but it requires a time commitment. Something I am willing to make, just did not realize prior π€·π»ββοΈ βJust to know,β as my nine-year old niece likes to sayπ
@eshoe oh my gosh!!! That's genius,,, reusable eye gels!!!
Who knew, @lmaster??? I am on board!
