This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!

Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights 💮

Ah, sorry that I forgot to mention that @itsfi. It is a translucent baby blue that changes into white bubbling foam once it has been applied.

R is for root vegetables, with this particular masking sesh focused on carrots, Bugs Bunny's favorite snack.

A while back, when my sheet mask no-buy was briefly lifted, I saw what looks like a new line of Innisfree sheet masks.  At the very least, they are new to me. 

All the sheet masks in this Innisfree Jeju Root Energy collection are made of a thin, soft, biodegradable material that adheres very well to the skin. Fit on this Innisfree Jeju Root Energy Mask (Carrot) surprised me in that it fit quite nicely and with minimal adjustment. It's a smidge too wide at the temples for me and maybe an 1/2" too long at the chin and jawline. The slight extra amount of fabric at temples wasn't enough to make it worth it to snip off, but I did cut away the extra length and made some incisions to the corners of the openings for the eyes do the material could lay flat against my face. 

There are different types of essences in this line; this carrot varietal contains a thin, watery essence that has clean, fresh scent that reminds me of leaves from a plant with maybe hints of a floral fragrance. Hard to know which of the listed ingredient(s), including added fragrance, is giving this mask its fragrance. 

The mask was dripping in it when I pulled it out of the packet but there was no dripping once I applied the mask to my face, nor did I experience any dripping during the half hour I had it on. After removing the mask, my skin had that dewy glow that is common after using a sheet mask. The essence that remained was quickly absorbed, leaving zero trace of tack or stickiness. My skin felt soft and more hydrated and my complexion looked visibly refreshed, clear and brighter. 

I agree with the mask's claim to brighten the complexion - that it does. As for its moisturizing claims, my skin felt slightly moisturized but I would couch the results as more hydrating than moisturizing. Still, a very good mask and one I would happily use, and repurchase, again. In fact, I plan to pick up a few of the other masks from this collection as well. 

Hair Mask:

The Eco Love Hair Mask For Normal to Dry Hair is alright. It performs well enough, leaving my hair soft, smooth and moisturized, but the scent is very strong. Very. strong. While I like the results from this mask, they are ones I can get from other less potent scented hair masks. I'll finish with this tub but will not repurchase.

It's a good first intro to this new sheet mask line from the brand @PrettyPaint! So far so good. 🥕 Hoping the other couple of masks I have from them work just as well. 🤞

Ugh. Sorry about the strong scent on the hair mask! Definitely sounds like a mask I should avoid 😬

@Shosh85, please take my word for it and steer clear of this hair mask; your nose will not appreciate the fragrance. It's too bad because it did perform nicely. I will be focusing on using this tub up as soon as possible. I wonder if I can dilute the potency of the scent by mixing it with another hair mask??? Hmmm 🤔

Oooh, the whole line? Fun!! I have 2 other ones. I'm excited to hear your take on this line and compare notes over the ones we both have!

The hair mask, not so much. You didn’t mention the exact notes of the scent...Since it wasn’t pleasant I am thinking lotion-y🤔

@eshoe, oops, sorry about that. Went to grab the tub to give it a good whiff. It smells heavily perfumed, maybe every so slightly powdery but very much just a cloud of perfume. It actually made my eyes water a bit this time when I went to smell it. That's not happened before when it's been used.

Ooof @itsfi, powdery is a big ‘no’ for me. I recently finished a DS of the Christophe Robin Regenerating Hair Mask with Prickly Pear Seed Oil 8.33 oz/ 246 mL and found the scent very off-putting. A hair mask needs to be pleasantly-scented!

@eshoe, a case of every nose has its preferences - I like the scent on that CR prickly pear hair mask, but I know that it is not for everyone. Finishing it means you don't have to smell it anymore. That's how I look at what I have left of the Evo Love hair mask - just gotta work my way through it. 😆

The Creme Shop Rainbow Mask

This is a medium thickness cotton sheet mask that was white with cute colored hearts all over it. 😍🌈 It has a yummy and refreshing fruity scent, that to me, smelled like a mix of blueberry and cranberry. The fit was better than your average Creme Shop mask - just a little too long at the chin. The adherence was ok for the 30 minutes I had it on, but the chin part did pop up half way through and did not want to go back down. When I removed it, my skin felt a little tacky, but absorbed after about 5 minutes. My face looked a little brighter and felt slightly plump, hydrated and soft & smooth.

This is a great mask! I'd definitely buy more if I spotted them at Marshall's/TJ Maxx again!

That's good to know @Shosh85! 😍  Some of the newer masks from The Creme Shop (well, some of the older masks from them as well) are just 'meh' so I'm always happy to hear when there's one that performs well. That it's one of your favorites from them says a lot to me about it.

R is for Rose

• Can't recall where this beauty came from, but thank you to whomever sent it to me 🤦 
• This was a very saturated thin sheet that had a little extra serum in the package
• It fit really well over all areas of my face
• The scent was fabulous!! I love rose, but some rose scents are too strong for my skincare,, this one was light and true to a fresh rose scent
• Wear time was 15 minutes
• Results were typical, nice hydration, moisturizing but not too much more
• No lasting tackiness
• The scent alone would raise this mask above filler level for me
